Love this place! Excellent food that tastes homemade. Nice atmosphere, very cozy. The dumplings are amazing! So is the minced pork over rice. The Sichuan beef over noodles is great and the broth has a little bit of spice that makes your lips tingle. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Just found my new favorite noodle house — Yu Noodle
This place is absolutely amazing. The noodles are handmade in-house, the soup dumplings are everything you want them to be… but the undisputed star of the night was the spicy oil pork dumplings. Unreal.
The owner came over and took the time to explain how everything is made — even the broths are done in-house, with both pork and chicken options. I didn’t get into their dry noodle dishes this time (for anyone wondering: “dry” just means noodles in sauce instead of soup), but that just gives me an excuse to come back.
To top it all off, she insisted I get the full experience and brought out sticky rice with coconut milk and mango. Cool, refreshing, and hands down the perfect way to finish the meal.
Left super happy… and already planning my next visit. ️ — feeling grateful at Yu Noodle.

Having lived in China for many years, we are very familiar with authentic Chinese cuisine. Unfortunately, nothing we tried here came close to genuine Chinese food. The noodles and rice were bland and lacked depth — the broth tasted mostly like salty water. The dumplings appeared to be standard frozen products commonly available at Asian grocery stores, which did not justify the pricing. Service was also inconsistent, as other tables were offered water while ours was not. Overall, a disappointing experience and not one we would recommend.

If you’re looking for Chine authentic food, this unfortunately is not the place. The food was overall mid.
We ordered the N5 spicy dry noodles w/ ground pork, the N4 Sichuan beef noodle soup, S11 steamed crystal shrimp, Shrimp and pork soup, dumplings and the N13 Beef brisket w/ rice noodles in golden soup, which is listed as their special dish. While everything was edible, none of the dishes really stood out in flavor or authenticity.
The most disappointing part of our meal was the dessert. We ordered the mango pomelo sago And the black sticky rice w/ mango, and there was barely any mango in either dish. As shown in the picture, whatever mango is on top is essentially all you get, which was very underwhelming for the price.
Overall, the experience didn’t live up to expectations. That said, the customer service
was excellent, which we did appreciate.

My youngest is obsessed with soup dumplings. We tried a place in Charlotte a couple months ago and she became set on only eating authentic soup dumplings. Luckily, i found a place in Columbia! It’s a bit of a drive for us but when I tell you it’s worth it, it SO IS! Dim Sum has become our favorite thing because i LOVE being able to get a a little bit of a variety of things. (We do the same thing with apps at other restaurants – love sharing!)
We got:
Pork soup dumplings (for her)
Spicy Chili Oil Wontons (for me)
Potato Tornado with cheese (share)
Fried chicken wings in garlic hot sauce (share)
Cucumbers in garlic sauce (share)
We both RAVED about the cucumbers and have been thinking about them for the last week since we went! So much so, we’re going back tonight. She LOVED the dumplings and said they were better than the place in Charlotte. Chicken wings were YUMMY but i couldn’t taste much garlic, mostly just hot sauce. Potato Tornado was quickly demolished (mostly by me) and i dipped it in the vinegary sauce she got with her dumplings (she didnt like the sauce) and omg the elevation of taste! I wasn’t a super fan of the wontons – they were a little cold, not sure if they were supposed to be or not.
But this did nothing to quell our desire to go back tonight and try a couple new things as well as get our favorites!
Maybe one day we will get one in Lexington!

The atmosphere is very much welcoming ! It calms your mind and soul in there with the soft music and the beautiful interior designs . I’ve been to this place over 10 times ! And it’s always my go too when I want noodles . First time there we ask for recommendations because we have never had this type of food before and the gentle men that took our order let us know what is popular . This time I took my kids and they loved it ! They are young and rated this place a 10 over 10! Whether I do take out or dine in the food is always good! I always usually get the same thing because I don’t really like to try new things. I get the pan fried pork and chives dumpling, the beef noodle soup (this time I added shrimp) , scallion pancakes and the wings ! Everything is ALWAYS great! And the customer service is always great!

Me and my Fujianese friend love this place! Its so good, I love the dumplings and the Sichuan beef noodles. When we first discovered this place, I think we went 3 times in about a week and a half. Super nice owner and workers! Unfortunately we will be going abroad next semester so we wont be coming in and we did not get the chance to say bye to the owner 🙁 But next year we are sure to be back!!!

Food is overall great. Love the sticky rice shumai, everyone should definitely try it. Of course the obvious good choice would be any of their noodles. The broth on our beef noodle is pretty amazing, light and savory. Pan fried pork bun and soup dumplings are also good. A little disappointed with the scallion pancake. It’s too crispy for me, I would prefer a chewy texture. Thai tea didn’t quite taste right, I prefer more tea and milk taste. I would definitely come back just to have the shumai and noodles again! Wish they would expand their Dimsum choices. Support local restaurants and international food so we get more choices around Columbia!!!

The food here is absolutely delicious and authentically traditional Chinese! Every dish I tried yesterday was full of rich, genuine flavors that reminded me of home-style cooking. I truly hope they consider opening a branch in Charleston, especially in the West Ashley area. It would be a fantastic addition to the local dining scene!
