I’ve been wanting to try Yu Noodles for a long time, and finally went when I had friends in town. We came on a Sunday afternoon and were the only ones in the restaurant, so we were seated and attended to immediately. The menu has lots of options with pictures which was very helpful since it was our first time trying many of the dishes. The waiter was also patient and helped us choose a few great options.
Taste:
We ordered the duck noodle soup, beef noodle soup, and seafood noodle soup, along with the spicy dumplings, spicy cucumber, and pan-fried dumplings. Everything was absolutely finger-licking delicious. The broths were rich and flavorful, the noodles were perfectly cooked, and the dumplings were packed with taste. We were full and satisfied by the end.
Ambiance:
The restaurant is simple and casual, making it a comfortable spot for both big and small groups. It’s not fancy, but it’s clean, relaxed, and easy to enjoy a hearty meal in.
Overall Review:
Yu Noodles exceeded expectations. The food was outstanding, the service was quick, and the pricing was very reasonable — we paid around $100 for five people. I will definitely be back and highly recommend it for anyone craving comforting, flavorful noodle dishes

Absolutely everything we had here was amazing and the staff is so friendly.
They gave us a new menu item to try, it was Sichuan Pepper White Chicken. It was spicy but so good.
The scallion pancakes were crispy and sweet.

Their selection of noodles is quite impressive! Their dumplings are phenomenal and most of the noodles I’ve tried are great. For a lunch pick in Silver Spring this is a good option. Recently tried their duck fried rice and it was bus.

Like other Asian restaurants in Silver Spring, YuNoodles is an OK Asian cuisine place that will satisfy your cravings if you do not want to go farther for a more authentic flavor. My partner and I went recently for lunch after a friend (whose recommendations I generally trust) recommended it. Overall, it’s not bad, but having just recently lived in Japan where there is no dearth of good Chinese food, I found everything mediocre. The cucumber dishes for example, should be simple with maybe some soy and vinegar dressing, but they doused this dish in sesame sauce which makes it too sweet. My husband had some spicy beef noodle soup dish, which was OK, but overall I found the broth to be surprisingly bland. I ordered some dumplings in spicy sauce, which was probably the best dish, but also was a tad bit too salty. The service was decent though, prompt and friendly, overall it’s worth a try if you’re in the area, but there are better options if you’re willing to go farther away. The tastes of the restaurant definitely cater to their clientele, who I assume do not know authentic Chinese food.

Very busy place, but we were seated fairly quickly. Food was pretty good for the location and price. I’m happy to have found a good Asian restaurant that is not “fast food” American style Chinese. I usually have to drive all the way to Rockville for authentic Chinese food.
The restaurant maximizes their space to fit many people in a medium sized space, without feeling too crowded.
I ordered the hot & sour noodles but it was not spicy for me, so I had to add more chili sauce. It also came with so many peanuts and glass noodles, so I couldn’t finish it all. It was good though. The pork & chive dumplings were very good and tasted freshly made. The skin is thin, which is the way I like it. The duck was a tad sweet and meat was tender. The chicken appetizer was spicy sour, and had a good flavor.
There is a parking lot across the street that is free on the weekends. You can also park in the Whole Foods parking lot and walk a few blocks.
Update: We really like the N4 beef noodle soup and have ordered this repeatedly.

It’s absolutely a hidden gem with authentic Chinese cuisines. Their Soup Dumplings-XiaoLongBao was the best I had ever try in the area, highly recommended. Their noodles soups were super good too. The environment was nice and they put lot of effort into the dishes and decorations. The services were super nice and enthusiastic. They were very helpful and cared about our experience. We will definitely keep coming back!

Good assortment of different noodle dishes with different spice levels and flavors. I think there should be something for everyone. My favorite things I tried were the Scallion Pancake and Chili Oil Wontons. I liked the numbing spice in my Yibin Spicy Dry Noodles but I probably wouldn’t get it next time as some of the things other people got looked a bit better, including the N6, N7 and N8 options on the menu. Other than that, service was very good and efficient.

I had the cold noodles and it tasted delicious. I only wish there were more noodles in the large plate.
