This place is absolutely perfect. Nice staff with Amazing food and a very peaceful and home like atmosphere. I only wish this place was open longer but even still it’s worth getting up in the morning to grab some quality eats. Hope this place Stays open for generations to come ❤️

First time here, we shared the chicken fried steak & eggs. The steak was fine, but the country gravy was very thin & translucent, with minimal flavor. The eggs were ordered over medium but were quite runny. “Extra crispy” hashbrowns weren’t. The wheat toast was good as was the coffee, but no refills were offered. The decor was wood paneled 60s diner. We won’t be back.

Placed an order for pickup at 9:30am…..the guy that took my order said 20 mins. I sent my son in to pick it up……he waited 45 mins there! They said they gave the order to someone else on accident. Totally unacceptable….get home and the order was wrong STILL! I ordered biscuits and gravy and paid extra for it and didn’t get it. No condiments were in the bag like normal to-go should all have. No shrub or butter for the pancakes. The food was hot and still tasted good which is why I have the food 3 stars but overall my experience was not good. This was the first time eating there because I actually heard good things about this place but my first impression will probably be my last for this place. Very disappointing

I have to say I was very disappointed with this place. We walked in and were told to sit where we wanted, which was great. After that, things started to fall apart. After 15 minutes of waiting, my wife grabbed some menus from the serving station. While waiting, I walked next door and did some shopping and upon returning was surprised our order still hadn’t been taken. It was half an hour before someone came to take our order.
Then the food took forever to come. We walked in a few minutes after 10 am and the food arrived at 11:53am.
Wife ordered the Belgium waffle with sausage, bacon, and scrambled eggs. The bacon and sausage were good, but the eggs were overcooked and rubbery, with waffle being undercooked.
I ordered the chorizo breakfast skillet with eggs over easy. The eggs came the scrambled and overcooked, and the skillet had very little cheese. The taste was not bad, the chorizo was light, and a more sharp cheese would have helped. I am sorry to say we were very disappointed. Maybe we had a one-off bad day as we have heard good things about the place.
The wait staff were friendly.

There is parking in the rear.

Grabbed a late lunch today. Burger was nice and flavorful. I had the California burger with fries. Fresh and hot. The cheese on the burger was melted nicely as it was added on the grill. More fries on the plate than I needed, but it was nice to see hearty portions. Service was excellent with refills on my iced tea which is fresh brewed in house.

It was my first time here, and it didn’t disappoint. Great food and great customer service. I ordered the steak omelet and my mom ordered the French toast combo. Everything was cooked perfect, and was tasty! I brunch all the time and I love that I found this place because it’s a nice homey environment for an affordable price!

I just went this morning for the first time and ordered a French toast combo with a side of grits. Sitting in my car at home getting ready to enjoy my food while listening to my audio book, I saw something black on my French toast. I picked it of with a fork and it was a black bug with a yellow dot. I’m sooo pissed and disgusted. I paid $20 for my food. They can keep it. I will never go there again. I should’ve took a picture, I’m so done.

I went here today for some breakfast and had the ultimate egg skillet with 2 types of cheese, olives, avocado, bacon, onions, hash browns at the bottom. It was so good and then even had sour cream and salsa on the side. I also tried there strawberry lemonade which was absolutely good and refreshing for a warm day. I will definitely go back if I’m in the area again.

Facility:
We arrived around 12noon. The floor was dirty. Food items were under our table (see photo). The table was sticky.

Staff: Our waitress was nice and was very attentive to the needs of my children.

Speed of Food Upon Order:
We were one of the last ones to come in because they close at 2pm. The timeliness of of the food after we ordered it was a 6 out of 10. Took too long for simple (in my opinion) orders of breakfast.

Food:
1. Big portions even the kids menu.
2. PANCAKES tasted rubbery and not much flavor. Tasted like flour.
2. OMELET: Was tasty. One of the best omelets in Fairfield. We had #7 in the Omelets menu. My wife added chorizo in her omelet. Mine was regular #7 with fried rice and an English muffin. Fried rice was mediocre—not much eggs in there.
3. Price: I paid approx $70 with 12% tip for a family of 6.
4. Recommend?
A. I would recommend the Omelet (#7) as that’s the only ones my wife and I orders her. But other omelets from what I saw other customers order appeared to look as good as the ones we ordered.
B. Facility appeared dirty—so No. we almost turned around and walked out. But we were hungry.
C. Final thoughts:
I will Definitely will order the omelet again. But I do not think my family and I will be back here.

There are a lot of other breakfast restaurants in old downtown Fairfield we have eaten several times before. They are better (tastier, cleaner facility). I would not bring friends and visiting family to this restaurant.
