Late-night craving led me here and I ordered the General Tso’s chicken with a spring roll. The chicken was crispy (not soggy), the sauce had the perfect sweet-and-spicy balance, and it wasn’t greasy at all. Exactly what you want from good Chinese takeout.
The spring roll was hot, crunchy, and tasted fresh,not one of those sad ones that’s been sitting around.
Best part? The portion was big enough that I had leftovers for the next day, and it somehow tasted just as good (maybe better) round two.
Got to say Youngs Chinese Food just solid, reliable comfort food that hits every time. If you’re in Michigan and need a go-to Chinese carryout spot, this is it.
Next time will be trying some sesame chicken or orange chicken.

The customer service here is wonderful. The gentleman at the front/check out is always so friendly and kind- this is so important to me. Food is only as good as the energy that it is presented by. Food? DELICIOUS. Portion size? Definitely could be bigger/put in a larger container for the cost. I would say portions are a little overpriced. I did not have a great experience with their fortune cookies. They tasted like they were moldy. I’m not joking- my boyfriend and I were very shocked, I spit mine out immediately and called the restaurant to let them know that there was something wrong and for safety to assess whatever shipment they were using/box that they were distributing to ensure safety and well-being of all paying customers, hopefully it got worked out. But the food is really on point from everything I have tried so far. General Tao’s for the win! I will most definitely be back for the food, I’ll skip the fortune cookies though.

We always get the pad thai with tofu and chicken and the pad thai with shrimp and tofu. Of course crab rangoons and chicken dumplings cannot be forgotten! Sometimes my partner will get the pad thai with beef and tofu! (Awesome) They’ve never missed a beat. Delicious food, authentic and very fast!
They even stayed 15 mins late after close one night, when we lost track of time and forgot to pick up our order. That alone is very gracious of them. This place deserves far more recognition than it is currently receiving.

My first time here and the food is outstanding. I had honey chicken and it was so good, veggies fresh just really really good. The door walks right out into the driveway/lot which isn’t very safe so please be careful but the food is a must!

The food is very fresh with the ingredients and the preparation. I have to say that is a very rare, especially a Metro Detroit to find something that has actual ingredients and not just prepared sauces added to sad meat. The service was nice. The menu is fairly common. This is takeout only. The only thing that I consider lacking is some depth of flavor. It’s kind of bland which is disappointing

The staff is super friendly! I usually love to come here. This is my favorite Chinese carry out. Unfortunately the food was just not good today. My Szechuan chicken was only ok, there were no vegetables!!! Only onions!! I also ordered chicken fried rice and some how the chicken ran away because there was no chicken in it??? Super disappointed. My stomach also hurts.

First time here. We came in not only because they are the only Chinese place open late anywhere near us (they aren’t near us lol) but also the positive reviews. We got the Beef and Broccoli! Wow ! 5 so savory. Their brown sauce is fantastic. The beef and vegetables were so tender and the broccoli had the right amount of crunch and softness. We also got chicken fried rice which was delicious. Great amount of big pieces of chicken. We can’t wait to go back and try other dishes. The service was so kind and fast ! We added egg rolls during pick up and they were able to add it to the bill we already paid which was very convenient.

Young’s Chinese Food Carryout is my favorite Chinese restaurant in the Detroit area. Friendly and fast service! Called on a Saturday night to order dinner, they said it would be 20 minutes. I got there in 15 and the food was ready, and the man at the counter was so polite. The Lo Mein and General Tso’s was DELICIOUS. It wasn’t too sweet like most Chinese restaurants, and it was perfectly seasoned. I can’t wait to go back. It’s my new go-to spot for Chinese takeout!!!! The egg rolls and spring rolls are also delicious!

This is my go-to for Chinese food and my whole family. My son is 4 and loves that “they wrote me a note in my fortune cookie! They know me!” Amazing fried rice, egg foo young, egg drop soup, and crab rangoons! Can’t go wrong here!
