We took the free trolley here. Very convenient!! What a perfect spot for snacks and quick bites!! The views are spectacular!! The food is amazing here and great price!! We shared the special shrimp tostada and that was delicious!! Chicken tenders with fries were bomb, as well!! They make it perfect!! The people are friendly and warm!! Highly recommended!! 5 stars

Great place to stop and enjoy a spectacular view of Salt Creek Beach and the ocean. Get a coffee, glass of wine and enjoy some food while watching surfers ride the waves. One of the best places to enjoy the ambience of California. Try it you won’t be disappointed

Great location with great food. Went there for breakfast. The service was fast and the price was reasonable. I ordered the burrito, it was tasty. Highly recommend.

We’ve come here a few times. Great location, chill vibes, always plenty of seating (and if it’s full you can just picnic on the grass), awesome views…But the most recent time we’ve come by we’ve been very disappointed. The prices have increased (like they have everywhere) but the portion sizes have decreased significantly as well! You pay more and barely get any food which is ridiculous. I went to complain at the window and was told “nothing we can do”
Left a bad taste in my mouth.

Two tiny pieces of fried fish and barely any fries should not cost $19!

You used to be better. Do better.

Young’s is located at Salt Creek Beach. Its a chill place to get a bite to eat. I had the breakfast burrito and a iced tea. I enjoyed my food while watching the activity on the beach. Service is really good. Employees are friendly. Most people don’t know this place is here. You have to park and make a short walk to the beach.

Glad we took made the decision to stop in early this morning, it is an all day menu. Went right for the Lobster Roll instead of waiting for lunch, also pictured the Jalapeno Cheddar Bagel with Cream done right. Lobster was fresh, just like the greens, aioli was light as it should be brioche was perfect for MP $38 beachfront you really cant do better. Also had the granola yogurt and strawberry banana smoothie, gotta come back for another smoothie later.

Came back for more, still good.

On a beautiful warm February Sunday, this place has a well-deserved crowd lines up for some of the best beach fare in Southern California. The locally caught fish and chips was world-class and the Ceviche was delicious. I can’t wait to come back on a cold and rainy day to enjoy an uncrowded view of the gorgeous ocean.

Young’s Beach Shack at Salt Creek Beach in Dana Point is a fantastic spot to grab a bite while enjoying one of Southern California’s most picturesque beaches. The location is unbeatable, right on the edge of Salt Creek Beach, offering panoramic ocean views that make any meal feel like a beachside picnic.

The food here is surprisingly decent for a beach shack, with a good variety of options to choose from. They serve classic beach fare like burgers, fish & chips, tacos, fries, and refreshing beverages. If you’re craving something sweet, their ice cream is a perfect treat on a warm day. The portions are generous and the prices are reasonable, especially considering the prime beachfront location.

There’s a fair amount of seating available, so you can comfortably enjoy your meal while soaking in the incredible views of the Pacific Ocean. Whether you choose to sit under the shaded areas or prefer to catch some sun, the setting adds a special touch to your dining experience.

What makes Young’s Beach Shack stand out is not just the convenience of having food right by the beach, but also the quality and service. The staff are friendly and efficient, making sure you get your food quickly so you can get back to enjoying the beach.

Another plus is the cleanliness of the area. Even with the beach traffic, the shack and surrounding seating areas are well-maintained. They also provide trash bins, which helps keep the beach clean and inviting for everyone.

Young’s Beach Shack is a must-visit if you’re spending the day at Salt Creek Beach. It’s the perfect spot to refuel with good food and drinks without having to leave the stunning ocean views behind.
