Dined for the first time at this quaint Mexican place on 30th. Enjoyed three kinds of very tasty tacos. Corn tortillas were super fresh and hot off the grill. Super friendly husband and wife operation and demonstrated their gratitude for being patient on a super busy Friday night. Will be back to try their other menu items. Definite hidden Mexican gem.

As a Mexican I can say this is the best and most authentic Mexican food in all of Vernon if not the entire okanagan valley. After months of trying every Mexican restaurant between here and Kelowna, I have finally found real flavorful Mexican food that tastes like it came right out of my mothers kitchen

I ordered the gorditas, and my spouse ordered the tacos. The cook is the owners wife from Guadalajara, who makes all the tortillas fresh in house. Everything was exactly as I remember in Mexico and in south Texas. Real flavors that represent a real food culture. I almost cried it was so good and familiar. The atmosphere was decorated traditionally and there was a television playing recording of live performances by some of Mexico’s most talented musicians.

I ordered a margarita to start and some chips came complimentary. This food is incredible and we have eaten here at least once a week since we found them.

The food is very authentic and delicious!! You can tell it’s homemade with love. I have lived in Guadalajara and tasting their food made me feel like I was back in Mexico. The beef tacos were fantastic, Chicken quesadilla was so tasty And refried beans with a bit of spice was our favourite. We will be back to try all of their menu options. The restaurant is very clean and the staff are so friendly and you can tell her to take great pride! I will definitely recommend a family and friends, and we will be back for more Great eats!

Woah, this place just felt (and tasted) like home! As a mexican living in Canada, we often get questions of where to find authentic mexican food… so I am happy to let you know that this is THE place.

The food is delicious, authentic home-made style, and it brought me back fond memories of meals with family and friends back in Guadalajara, Mexico. You can taste the care and love they put to their menu in every bite.

We had the pleasure of chatting with both owners. They are amazing, kind, hard-working, and care a lot about the people and community they serve. They make everyone feel welcome, and offer a friendly and easy-going vibe.

If you have read this far, just try it. You won’t regret it. And if you are not into mexican food (which could also be true), at least you will get the experience we mexicans often miss while away from home: having a tasty home-made meal made by your mother, while sharing that moment with friends and family.

Aww, it’s a cute little place! It’s a cool, hometown kind of idea. It’s a family-run restaurant. The kids wait tables. Mom cooks everything, and Dad helps out too.
They’re still figuring things out, I think! The portions were a bit small, and our meals didn’t come out at the same time. But they were super friendly.
The homemade salsa was amazing! We’d go back just for the salsa and chips and a beer

We tried it tonight for Valentine’s dinner and were very pleased. Excellent authentic Mexican food at reasonable prices. A real deal “mom and pop” shop with son waiting tables. The grapefruit tequila cocktail was delicious and the hot chocolate may have been the best I’ve ever had. If you like spicy, four different hot sauces on the table!
Give these guys a try!
Wish I had thought to take a picture but everything disappeared too fast.

I just tried this place on main street for the first time: it’s great! The owners are from Mexico, and the tacos were authentic and tasty. Plus: excellent customer service from Cesar, the owner. The food came really fast (great for a lunch break).

Happy to have a family-run business like this downtown.

Antojitos Guadalajara was my 212th eatery in Vernon on my quest to eat at every eatery in town.

I am glad this family was finally able to open up downtown.

Ten years ago all we had for Mexican food is Los Huesos. Now we’ve got 3 other fast food chains, a Taco food truck, and now we have this restaurant.

I tried gorditas and a Pepsi. I had never eaten a gordita. I paid $20.70 after tax and a 15 percent tip.

They also have a big Mexican sandwich dish I want to try next time.

They are still setting things up as they just opened a couple days ago (menus and napkins on tables, etc).

I ate all of my food.

This place gets my approval.

I only have Sparkling Hill and BNA before I have completed all 216 restaurants in town.
