Ive had ate here before and it was really good. I went looking for it again and found the reviews saying the food was terrible. I went against them and decided to order again and boy was I disappointed. The food was extremely bland. The noodles felt over cooked / soggy. The chicken on a stick was super dry as if it was old. Paid about $75 and was not worth it. Sadly I won’t be going back.

This was the most bland and unappetizing chicken lo mein I have ever had. The guy at the counter was very nice, though. This lo mein dish almost looked like old food, it did not taste or look fresh and was very light in color – I am used to darker colored lo mein.

Delicious! We ordered General Tao’s chicken, Sesame chicken and Sweet and sour chicken. The sweet and sour was amazing. It was lightly breaded and crisp. The gentleman at the register was great too. All very generous portions.

Stop by to pick up dinner after work last week and again today. I got my usual shrimp fried rice and spring rolls.

The fried rice and spring rolls were very good and fresh. The young man Brian, who took my order both times was very polite over the phone and in person!!

Profoundly mid as food goes.

Some of these reviews make it sound like they’ll shoot your dog or some crazy thing when you walk inside, but the food is just “food” in a deeply basic way. Feels like it’s straight out of a microwave to your table.

Service and staff are nice. The Lobby is clean and welcoming. But the food just kind of “is”.

If you’re really craving greasy, inauthentic “Chinese food” then sure, you could do a lot worse for yourself, but you could also do so much better.

It’s been a long time since I had Young chow cafe. It tasted nostalgic like the one that used to be in manassas. The young man that helped was great.

Young Chow Cafe was the only Chinese food my family trusted for 15+ years. Even after we moved, we kept coming back. The original owner made it personal — she knew my name and my order.
But since she retired, it’s gone completely downhill. The food is slimy, fake-tasting, and nothing like before. I tried three times, hoping it’d bounce back, but it’s just bad now. Even friends I recommended said the same.
It was always priccey but worth it, the quality is gone, and the heart of the place left with her. I won’t be back.. this sucks really

The food was OK. Had it for leftovers the next day and it tasted even better. The portions were good. My suggestion is to cook the dishes and make the food less “sticky” and more soy-saucy and liquid-y. Also the orange chicken had a different but good and interesting taste, but it was sure different than most orange chicken that I have eaten before. Would prefer the option of having the orange chicken cooked more in a traditional American way. See pictures of OJ chicken that are included in this review.

Just some straight up good Chinese food for carry out. The fried spring rolls were specifically noteworthy.

Came here on New Year’s Eve and the lady working the counter, bless her, was going a million miles an hour but still friendly with customers.
