Everything was a true 10/10 , from the attention to detail to the warmth and professionalism of the staff. We were dining with a vegetarian, and the team went out of their way to personally explain which dishes he could order and how they could adapt certain options for him. That level of care and consideration made such a difference.
It was honestly an amazing experience from start to finish.
The restaurant runs in Izakaya style and ideally they do recommend sharing the dishes instead of having your own main dish. They do acknowledge that to you upon your entry. Menu isn’t always authentic since they did adjusted some of the menu to accommodate Australians taste, so things like California roll in offered.
Everything on the menu feels complete. The ingredients aren’t necessarily expensive, yet the way that they decided to deliver the final product is very satisfying. From entree to desserts, you’ll have the most distinctive flavor from other Japanese restaurants runs in Australia nationwide. And normally, I’d go very detailed about the dishes in other restaurant, but for this one I will reserve it to let other people explore their own set of menu in this restaurant.
Reservations are not required if you arrive when they’re not busy. But it is recommended.
Service was excellent throughout – warm, attentive, and welcoming. A particularly nice touch is the option to dine at a sunken table, which adds to the authentic atmosphere and makes the experience feel even more special.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for a more genuine and relaxed Japanese dining experience.
You order food via a tablet and staff bring it out
Basic decor no tablecloths but would highly recommend a visit
Byo wine corkage $10 per bottle so take a nice bottle
– The two of us ordered six dishes but ended up unable to finish everything.
– Almost every dish contained Wagyu, so it got a bit heavy.
– The sashimi and grilled Wagyu were quite yum. The stir-fried udon had a sweet and spicy flavor, which helped balance out the richness.
The sushi and sashimi are incredibly fresh, and the presentation is exquisite. The menu is diverse, featuring a variety of traditional dishes that cater to all tastes. The staff are friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience.
The only minor drawback is that the seating time is limited so if you don’t book you may be rushed to finish and it can be rather expensive for what it is.
Overall, it’s a fantastic spot for anyone craving delicious Japanese cuisine. Highly recommended!
Waiter guy was very polite and friendly.
