I looooove the customer service I receive SPECIALLY when Jennifer is working. She has such a welcoming attitude, she’s the best!! Sadly the same can’t be said about the store manager. He has very poor customer service skills. I don’t know how or why he’s the manager. I have witnessed how he speaks down to his employees as well. He is the only reason why I did not give this location 5 stars on everything. Sorry not sorry.

I wish there were more locations for Yoshinoya but, if I’m in the area, I always try to stop in. I got the beef, teriyaki chicken and vegetables combo bowl, a favorite, and it was ready in no time. Gotta love Japanese style fast food. So tasty and the portions were a great size. Hard to beat the flavor, healthy aspect, and price of Yoshinoya. The staff were super friendly too.

I recently visited the Yoshinoya on Palomar in Chula Vista, and my experience in the drive-thru was absolutely wonderful — something I haven’t experienced in years!
The young gentleman who helped me, named Daniel, was incredibly professional, well-spoken, and polite. He truly went above and beyond for me and my family. I had ordered two bowls, but at the last minute, my daughter decided she didn’t want vegetables. Even though I was already at the window, I asked if the order could be changed, and Daniel kindly said, “No problem, I can take care of that.”
After I paid, I drove to the other side to pick up my food. When Daniel brought out our order, he asked if I needed any sauces and returned with extra sauce—and even a cup of water for my daughter. I hadn’t asked for the water, but he noticed she was coughing and said, “This is for your daughter; sometimes my throat gets dry too.” That small act of kindness truly touched me.
Daniel’s exceptional service made our visit memorable, and I just wanted to express my appreciation. Employees like him really make a difference.

Ole boy in black shirt , believe he’s the shift leader is just plain rude. Staff is difficult to understand and never get your order correct. Didn’t know you couldn’t buy extra ginger packets beside the one packet per combo that I was given.

The people here are very rude. Despite the rudeness, I kept being polite. They watch you like a hawk. I felt uncomfortable eating here because i felt as if I was being rushed. It really sucks being happy to eat and then losing appetite because how rude the employee are.

Good food, friendly and fast service.

Out here in Washington we go to Panda Express this is similar food but they definitely have their own flavors and recipes. The Orange Chicken is soft and has great flavor. Their noodles were also great. Lots of flavor without the grease that normally comes with these noodles.

Also I would like to thank the staff for making our experience great. While ordering there was a confusion and we thought we ordered noodles for our kiddos and we got served rice. When we brought it to their attention without hesitation they gave us two side orders of noodles for our kids. Thank you!

Next time we are in California we will most definitely eat here again.

Honestly, it’s not my favorite. I got the Ribeye Steak Teriyaki and the Habanero Chicken with Brown Rice.

It wasn’t spicy. The Teriyaki sauce is one of my least favorite in this area. It’s very pungent and sour. It doesn’t taste traditional.

Overall, the food wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t great either.

The atmosphere was good. The service was quick.

I doubt I’d ever recommend or go back for a meal. $44 for a guest of two.

Server forgot forks, soy sauce, Duck Sauce And there wasn’t any hot sauce or Sriracha sauce either. We drove back to the window and she would not answer the window to give us eating utensils and half the car started eating with their hands on their way to the gas station and we had to get forks there.

In my experience with many restaurants this is a major issue that should be resolved and addressed because they always do this. Other than that the food was good.

I visited this location recently with my family. We ordered two regular drinks and one large drink, and we were given small water cups for our kids. To make things easier, we poured some of the drinks we purchased into the smaller cups for them.

One of the workers suddenly shouted at us, saying, “Excuse me, sir, those cups are for water, not soda,” in a very rude and accusatory tone—without even checking to see that we had paid for the drinks.

It was embarrassing, especially in front of other customers, and completely unnecessary. We weren’t doing anything wrong, just trying to make things easier for our kids. Even if there was a concern, it could’ve been handled with basic courtesy and a simple question.

Really disappointed in the customer service. This kind of attitude doesn’t belong in a customer-facing job.
Her name is Jennifer.

As someone who has been to the store in Japan I’m extremely disappointed in the offerings available. Ruined my day honestly. It’s to be expected of anything brought to the US though so what can you do.
