Actual authentic Japanese sushi on Victoria dr! Very small and family run so service might be a bit slow but they give you genuine foods and high quality complimentary green tea.
Sushi selection is very Japanese so if you are looking for typical Canadian roll/ sushi, this place may not be your choice. I am eclectic when it comes to sushi, enjoy both top notch nigiri and everyday rolls. This place has both ends. loved hard to find engawa and my childhood favorite natto roll. Price was very reasonable.

Affordable price and good too. It’s a mom and pop shop so know that when it’s busy the sushi takes longer. But I found it relaxing enough the wait didn’t feel bad.

This is a very cozy little place, but definitely a gem. Reservations are highly recommended, as it they only have a few tables. A mom and pop shop, but everything seemed to be very fresh.
We had:
Beef Tataki ($18.95) – The amount and the taste of the sauce was perfect. Meat was super tender.
Chirashi Sushi Bowl ($37.00) – Quite a variety of fish and they were very generous with the amount of fish.
Unagi Don ($24.50) – Comes in a cute little box, and a good amount of unagi as well.
The prices are a little on the high side, but I thought it was well worth it for the quality that they provide.
Service was excellent. Very attentive.

Hidden gem on Victoria street! The loveliest owners with such fresh sushi. The highlights of our meal were the hamachi sashimi, unagi roll, and the torched black cod roll. Chef’s nigiri special was amazing as well! Would definitely recommend sitting at the bar so you can see the chef handcraft everything and also ask for recommendations. Will definitely be back!

Ever since we discovered this spot, we have visited it every time we travel to Vancouver. The chef’s skills are amazing; we love sitting by the counter to watch him in action. Not only that, but their fish quality is top-notch and always fresh. They also have a great selection of locally sourced fish options. We truly love this spot.

Quality fish, skill chef and family run. Don’t see these mom and pop sushi restaurants in Vancouver anymore. Real crab California Rolls and Sockeye Salmon and Avocado rolls must try. Great value

Tried based on a friend’s recommendation, and we really enjoyed the omakase sushi. I will say it was not the most buttery and melt in the mouth sushi I’ve had, but it was great quality for the price point.
It was full on a Sunday night at 7pm with walk-ins getting turned away. Great atmosphere and service – the restaurant seemed to be completely run by a wife and husband team. Since there is only one chef, as others have said, there can be a bit of a wait for the food, but it is worth it. I’d definitely go again!
