Breakfast at Yolk in Manzanita felt like stepping into the kind of morning you hope for when you’re at the coast — busy, bustling, alive, and somehow still deeply inviting.

Leah was our server and she was everything you want at 9am: fun, friendly, attentive, and completely game for our curiosity. We had questions about the house-made pickles (because of course we did), and she humored our full flavor-profile dissection with a smile. Salty? Yes. Bright? Definitely. A little sweet? Maybe. A tiny mustard seed moment? Possibly. She stayed with us through it all.

The staff as a whole moved like a well-choreographed dance. Coffee was topped off without asking. Plates arrived beautifully composed. Other team members checked in as they passed. It felt cared for — not hovered over, not rushed — just genuinely cared for.

And the food.

The brioche French toast absolutely takes the cake — and that’s coming from someone who typically does not eat bread. The outside was perfectly toasted, giving that delicate, almost caramelized edge, while the inside stayed impossibly soft. It wasn’t stuffed, but somehow gave the nostalgic illusion of being stuffed — like the memory of a crumb doughnut met French toast and decided to collaborate. It was magic in a very unpretentious way.

The hollandaise deserves its own paragraph. Bright. Lemony. True. It tasted the way hollandaise is meant to taste — where the acidity sings instead of hiding behind heaviness. You got the richness, yes, but you also got that clean citrus lift that keeps you going back for another bite.

And while the wait staff shines in the dining room, the cooks in the back are clearly the unsung heroes — working tirelessly, plating thoughtfully, seasoning confidently. Every dish that hit the table felt intentional.

We left full, happy, and already talking about what we’d order next time — which is always the sign.

Manzanita mornings done right.

Sat AM brunch rush is a tough crowd to try to join but we added our name to the paper wait list and almost exactly the time they said a table for four would be ready, it was! (1 hr 15 mins) love this place and the energy is wonderful. Thank you for also having so many vegetarian options.

The food was good, not great. Some of the potatoes were overcooked/burnt. The service was good, but it felt a little over the top. This place is cute, but the seating is very close together which makes it difficult to enjoy when you have servers weaving between these tight spaces.

If I could give them 6 stars I would. Best brunch I’ve had in decades – thank you Reddit folks!

We split two dishes and it gave us a bit of savory and sweet.

We got the scramble (first item on their brunch section)with grilled potatoes and homemade biscuit AND 3 slices of their crusted French toast.

The service was among the best we’ve had as well. They were super attentive without being intrusive and timed us well for when we needed more coffee and for when we were ready for the check. Our server had such a good mood and happiness about her it just made everything feel perfect.

The place is very busy but they’re so efficient they move quickly without making us feel rushed, either.

Absolutely delicious. Especially the cheesy grits and pork chop. I live. The service was genuinely kind and friendly. Cute and cozy environment.

Definitely worth coming back for.

Eggs benedict and pink pony punch were delicious! Corned beef hash was also amazing! 10/10 would recommend.

We happened to be in the area and heard good word of mouth, so we came out for brunch on valentines weekend. My super hot girlfriend had the country scramble and I did the shrimp and grits with side biscuit. I’d recommend getting a bread side to scoop all the yummy grits onto for a yummy open face sandwich on the quick. It was savory and delicious. My girlfriend liked her scramble a lot but thoroughly enjoyed the Bloody Mary. The staff is very nice and helpful with the longer wait times. Everyone was very nice. Prices aren’t too wild. Would recommend you come and check them out.

This place did not disappoint. I got the special, a veggie scramble and French toast. Both were so fantastic! It’s a great pit stop for breakfast if you’re driving the coast. Halfway between Tillamook and Cannon Beach. We did not drink but all the cocktails looked so pretty! Great ambiance too. The bathroom decor is stunning!

The food is good, however the waitress was very rude and snarky when we tried to ask about some breakfast options from their menu to work around an egg allergy.

Everyone else we spoke with was very nice, although it was quite spendy for only ok service.

We stopped by this restaurant by recommendation. It was an interesting experience. It’s a small restaurant and people were waiting on the line. Nevertheless , we decidedtowait. Waited 15 minutes. Food was served quickly, and it was tasty. My compliment to cook. I did like a service girl’s dirty nails. I wish people who work in restaurants keep their nails clean and short. Because of so many people inside, the restaurant was noisy.
