So we were greeted upon entering the restaurant. We frequent this place or so we used to. We decided to go to the non hibachi side today. Our server Ms Ginger was very kind and pleasant. The menu prices have drastically increased since our last visit 8 months ago. We had no wait to be seated and minimal wait for the food. Refills were not as punctual as you might expect though. Restaurant capacity on the non hibachi side was maybe 15%. 2 servers working. We have nothing at all bad to say towards the server. She was on point, always smiling, made the pleasant conversation you would expect. BUT. The tables were very sticky, the floor was sticky and my shoes talked to me. We did get a high chair for our 10 month old. It was sticky as well. The taste of the food was not what we used to get from this place. I hate to say it but the food from the Northwoods mall was larger portioned and better taste for half the price. 2 drinks 2 adult dishes and 1 kids dish was still $88. In previous settings of this restaurant this would have been acceptable but no longer. Portion size has decreased substantially and the flavor is not the same. If this message to the managers/owners is not taken seriously. This place may be on the verge of closing. It will take a serious revamp of this location if it is to succeed. Prices have increased at this place 2xs in the past year. The only explanation from this perspective would be lack of business and an attempt to recover revenue. I regret to say this will probably be my last visit to this place. It pains me to say again in all seriousness the Japan food from the mall at this point is much more pleasant.

Honestly, the worst part was the wait! It was my sisterfriend’s birthday dinner and we reserved here for 630 but didn’t get seated until an hour later. There was no point in the reservations when we had to wait so long. Then there was one young lady who was very rude and had a little smart mouth when the issue was being addressed. If folk reserve a spot for a certain time slot it should be set aside for them…period. Our party was on time. Besides that and the inability for the hostess to express proper customer service, it was okay.

(On a scale of 3 being average and 5 being amazing) We had such a fun time the atmosphere was fun, the wait staff was attentive and friendly, everything cooked fresh from the grill was delicious. Our chef was entertaining and engaging. Strictly personal preference, I did not care for bacon and eggs (standard) in the fried rice, in my my opinion these flavors overpowered the grill flavor. If it we weren’t for the bacon and the eggs and that our batch of rice was pretty under cooked (from the kitchen – I am sure this was a 1 off but still diminished the meal) I would have scored higher.

Our server, Olivia, was wonderful and our chef, Calvin, gave us the most entertaining dining experience we have ever had. We laughed so hard our cheeks hurt and talked about the dinner the rest of the night after we left. Tried to convince him to come play mini golf with us afterwards because we loved him THAT much. If you like sarcastic humor, eat here and ask for Calvin!!

Great place to go with my son visiting from the Navy! We got a table to ourselves and the Tataki and Birthday Sushi Roll was very good. Got the Filet & Scallops hibachi and it was awesome and more than enough! I’d definitely make this one of my top go-to restaurants. Oh! And, our waitress was great!

I was visiting family in Summerville and wanted to take them to a nice restaurant, It was one of the worst experience I’ve ever had. The food was Subpar, we waited for almost 30 mins to sit after our reservation time, the waitress was very nice but seemed a little overwhelmed which surprised me because there was 100 people standing around. It then took almost an hour to get the food at the table and because one of my party ordered sushi, they didn’t eat at all because they forgot to make the meal before the sushi chef left. Then i had prepared for them to sing happy birthday to my granddaughter which they forgot to do and we couldn’t even get desert because they were closing so they didnt offer it, and then to add insult to injury they sent over a 12 year old to ask if we enjoyed the food and should he make separate checks for everyone including the 4 year old and 6 year old. What amazed me the most was that no one wanted to take accountability for all the errors, Including the BRAND NEW Hibachi chef that almost set the table on Fire. Overall i would not recommend this restaurant to anyone that enjoys a pleasant night out, if you don’t like your family be have a good time
