This is a wonderful buffet in New Holland, Pennsylvania. While it is smaller than Shady Maple and only a few miles away, it is still a very popular location and frequent by locals and vacationers alike.

My family visited their buffet on a Friday evening. In addition to a full salad bar, along with ham, baked fish, pot roast, and baked and broasted chicken every day. Every evening they have nightly specials. Friday night was all you can eat prime rib, baked salmon, and multiple seafood items.

The salad bar was excellent, the roasted chicken was perfect, and the prime rib was cut to order. Austin, the hot bar chef expertly cut me a piece to order, at well over an inch and a quarter thick! It was fabulous done at medium rare and equally delicious.

You also have the ability to order off the menu if you’re looking for a lighter meal.

I’d highly recommend this place, breakfast and dinner are amazing and the price is more than reasonable.

Not sure what happened but this place used to be so much better. The servers are nice and attentive which is why I gave an extra star, but the food has become awful – It looks so unappetizing to the point I didn’t even touch a lot of it. Most of it wasn’t even warm and tasted so bland. I’m leaving this review in hopes they get better.

We’ve now been twice-

The first time- great! We live about an hour away and weren’t expecting to stop here … we didn’t even know about it. It was a Friday around 12-1pm. Service was great. Waitress was very nice. Food was memorable in a good way. It was pretty busy, but that didn’t change anything since everything is basically self serve.

Onto the second time, today- we went around 3pm on a Wednesday. It was my husband’s birthday and he asked to come here (bonus that his meal was free for his bday!). While his meal was free, the whole experience was thrown off. Yes, we came at an odd time- 3pm on a weekday, but there was only one other table of two in there with us. No grill going (prior there were fresh burgers, pierogi, corn cakes, etc), the food you could tell had been sitting for sometime and the choices seemed much more limited. My husband did still enjoy the fried chicken, though. We were seated close to where the food was and we could see every 5-10 minutes the Buffett/food assistant lift the steamer trays from the buffet to let the steam up.. I know this is probably protocol, but all I could think of was them lifting it to create steam to make it look more appealing, because it really needed it. All-in-all, it was still decent for only having to pay for one meal between the both of us, but if it wasn’t my husband’s birthday and we paid for both of us, it would’ve been disappointing.

Additionally, during our visit today today the atmosphere seemed off. Right outside the entrance door two people were yelling/arguing/cussing at each other. It seemed like there was maybe a bus that just dropped people off and there was a bunch of people just sitting on the benches inside passing time, but none really seemed friendly.

I went to the bathroom before leaving and a lady had a grocery cart in the bathroom propped up between the bathroom stall so you could see her going to the bathroom?? So odd and so gross that a grocery cart was even in there.

All that to say, while we really did enjoy our first visit, I don’t know that we would come back again. Too many things were off with this visit and it’s not worth the hour drive anymore.

I was really looking forward to this place, especially since the Airbnb host recommended it to me the first night visiting PA. I deducted the first star since the food selection is limited, especially for people with dietary restrictions. I really did not get to do the buffet since I have a shellfish, seafood, pork, dairy allergy. I deducted the second star since I ordered the sirloin steak meal expecting to receive a steak. I was thrown off to receive a hamburger instead; when I asked the waitress, I was informed that this restaurant does not serve steak. The third star was deducted since the waffle my grandma got was mushy and soggy. Otherwise, the staff was a helpful and polite bunch of people. Overall, the staff made the experience worthwhile; otherwise, I realistically would not recommend this place, nor would my family.

Yoders is a MUST stop every time I visit home about 40 miles away. I love the ambiance and the great variety of dishes and desserts! The staff is simply wonderful an so is the staff in the store. On my last visit I casually mentioned they needed to get some XL shirts for a particular style. When I came back a few months later they had listened and I bought two! When I eat at Yoders I feel like I’m wrapped in a warm blanket. All my worries melt away from the moment I enter until I have to reenter the world. Come in for a weekday lunch for a quiet and relaxing experience. See you again on my next visit! Thank you, Yoders!

Came in yesterday, it was packed but not like crazy packed like the other buffets. I was like “let me try this restaurant with my family.” I was impressed with the atmosphere and it felt like a nostalgic experience like 90s-2000s. I was looking forward with the food since it smelt great. But when I got a close up, it was limited and no other options were available. I took the all you can eat option, so I started to get what I see. The food to be honest was eh and tasted a bit bland. I only finished with 3 plates because I felt bad and don’t want to waste any food. I understand most customers were elderly and may have been used to it. But I think the establishment can do better with more seasoning or something. Staff was great and atmosphere was great too though. I hope they get better at least for then next time.

Ugh, never again. This on the top 10 list of places to never go back too. Food was absolutely terrible. Everything was cold. The pot roast was deli meat in canned gravy. GROSS. The Fried Chicken was heavy and not cooked properly, the mashed potatoes were runny, the vegetables were mushy. The salad was okay but the person refilling the station brought out one container at a time. It felt more like a VFW hall than a restaurant. WILL NEVER BE BACK

Local buffet. Good country food. Nice. No wait, no line. Food was good nice and hot. But I’m going to suggest more comfortable seating. I not only find that here but almost everywhere you go either hard wood seats or worn out padded seats. The older we get, the less natural tushy cushion we have. We did go out on a holiday so the menu prices was a little elevated but not much. Very reasonable very reasonable.

Went Nov. 22nd for Dinner. The decorations is very plain but clean. The waitress/ table clearer was adequate but not overly friendly.
Now the food. Nice salad bar with a fair amount of options that were nice and fresh. Choices were sparse, some items looked like they came from a frozen package. Turkey in gravey was Trukey Roll (gross) and was a hard pass. Other items were very basic and bland. The highlight was the U Peel shrimp and the fried butterflies shrimp. The carving station was sparse in choice as it only had Beef Brisket, fried fish and corn fritters all of which was OK.
Desert. Desert left a Lot to be Desired as the pastry selection was a few odd choices of cakes, I found No pies. They had hard ice cream of which what they dipped for me must have been there for weeks as it was Freezer burned and unedible. Their soft serve was obviously something wrong with the machine as it came out as slow as molasses in January an was basically Ice Milk. They had toppings and puddings too.
In all for the price, one would do better elsewhere and the overall food experience was a letdown and definitely Not worth a return visit. Sorry Yoder bit you should do better.
