Now this place is kinda small for a fine in restaurant but it’s well worth it. The food was excellent. We loved this place, and yes it was our first time here. We actually got us some jam while we were there and bought some goodies from the counter as we were leaving. I would definitely recommend this place for breakfast, I have not tried their lunch, but I’m pretty sure it’s really good.

An easy five stars! Very welcoming atmosphere. It’s cozy, with warm lighting and warm service. The breakfast was the best I’ve had in recent memory.

I recommend the Dutch Sampler if you’re wanting a big breakfast and can’t decide what to try. You get 2 eggs, 2 bacon (or another meat), a serving of home fries (or another similar choice), 2 pieces of a griddle cake of some kind (I got the cinnamon roll French toast, I highly recommend it!), and a huge serving a their fluffy biscuits and gravy. The gravy was a perfect mix of sawmill and sausage styles. It was perfect.

Be sure to check out The Pantry area and have a look around the general store for decorations, farm and home maintenance supplies, animal feed, or anything else you might need. The Pantry had spices I’ve never seen in retail stores, and some that are near impossible to find elsewhere.

I found everything to be very reasonably priced, some things an outright steal.

This is hidden gem for sure, and I will definitely be returning!

We’ve come to Yoders to shop before as they have so many awesome things in their store, to include chicks and seeds. Great place in general! But we came to eat finally, and it was totally worth the wait. Make sure you arrive early, because the wait can get very long. Service was prompt, everything was hot and delicious and everyone was super friendly. We will definitely be back.

An Ode to Yoder’s Pantry in Grifton
Dear Yoder’s Pantry, tucked sweet in Grifton town,
Where hungry folks walk in worn and walk out crowned,
We came for breakfast — simple, small delight —
We left transformed by biscuits kissed with light.
Oh mercy. Oh glory. Oh buttered bliss.
If heaven serves breakfast, it tastes like this.
Eggs that remember the farm they came from,
Sausage that sings like a hymn at dawn,
Bread baked sturdy, honest, true —
Real food. The kind that smiles back at you.
No mystery mush. No freezer disguise.
Just fresh, natural goodness before our eyes.
We looked at each other mid-bite, mid-chew —
“Is this even legal? Is this allowed to be this good?”
And then — the store. Lord, the store.
Shelves of wonder from ceiling to floor.
Time slowed down like a Sunday breeze,
While we wandered past jars and country cheese.
Candied jalapeños? Yes, please.
Not-pickled jalapeños? Double of these.
Butter syrup shining like liquid gold —
If loving you is wrong, we’ll gladly be bold.
We left with bags. We left with grins.
We left plotting when we’d be back again.
And though I adore my children, it must be said —
For breakfast like that? I’d at least negotiate instead.
Five stars? No. Give them the sky.
If joy had a zip code, this would apply.
Yoder’s, you poets of biscuit and pan,
You fed our souls — not just woman and man.
We’ll be back soon. That much is clear.
Save us a table. And more butter syrup, dear.

Wow! This was a granddaughter grandmother breakfast! The food was delicious! It was my two granddaughters first visit. They said the butter syrup was the best they had ever tasted! The french toast and grits were mouth watering. Everything was tasty! They were in awe. We walked throughout the store and had great history lessons. At the end of my meal, I realized my wallet was home. I made a simple call and they were very helpful. I paid my bill with remote help from my daughter. They were understanding and did not make me feel bad. Great experience!

Excellent breakfast. Several had the huge fluffy pancakes. I had a single French toast which was filling but light. Bacon and hash browns were great also. Make sure you walk around the hardware store next door.

***HEADS UP:: This is a come early or not at all place, it gets full and STAYS full fast!!!***After years of chatter amongst the people in town I finally was able to make into this establishment. Upon arrival, the place gives ma and pop general store vibes. What looks to be handcrafted furniture is out front available for sell. Once you get inside there is a area where there are all kinds of things ranging from kitchen ware, house tools, local made jams and more. The menu was ecstatic! Sooooo many different options to try. While I feel the food was a tad overrated, I could see myself coming to try other things. Best things I had while visiting were hands down the Dutch potato casserole and they icing used for the pancakes/french toast

I moved to Greenville, NC, about 6 months ago and today was my first time visiting Yoder’s. It was WELL worth the drive from Greenville (just about 30 minutes). When I entered the restaurant, I was immediately charmed by the atmosphere. Small country kitchen with a pantry stocked with goodies for you to shop in.

Tam was a LOVELY server who was warm and welcoming and thoughtful. I had the Dutch Breakfast and it was everything I ever wanted. I will DEFINITELY be back to this special gem.

I can’t say enough GREAT things about this restaurant!!! From the service to the food, everything was EXCEPTIONAL!! You can just tell when people care about the plate of food they put in front of you! You have to try the homemade honey butter maple syrup they have to offer! Heads up… you WILL have to wait for a table, but spend that time wandering around the amazing 2 story general store they have and the time will pass quickly, and the food is WELL worth the wait!! We will be visiting this restaurant again very soon! Check them out!! P.S. the French Toast is the BEST!! Homemade Bread and a wonderful Bakery for take home treats! Super clean including the restrooms!
