An old-school hot dog spot that caught my eye with its giant sign — proof that good advertising really works! So I decided to give it a try. I ordered the cheese hot dog with everything, and the place itself had a lively, classic vibe.
When the food came out, it looked great and came with crispy fried onions on top. The sauce was tasty, but like most hot dogs, the sausage was a bit salty, and the pickles were a bit too sharp. I’d recommend asking to have the toppings separated if you’re picky about balance.
Overall, great service, fun atmosphere, and definitely worth stopping by to try this legendary hot dog at least once!

When you say your the king then you should be able to deliver on that. I feel as though they feel way short. I got 2 Yocco hotdogs and I’m still looking for the chili. The hotdog it’s self was tasty but lacked adequate chili.

Went through the drive through. My friend told me about their yocoo dog I think it’s called.
It was super super good, however when we pulled the one out of the bag it wasn’t even fully wrapped.
Take the time, that little stuff matters whether you think it or not. No one wants a naked dog in their bag.
But let me reiterate that it was REALLY good. You can’t do much with hot dogs, but these guys def know how to make them..
The pierogis are also amazing, and the fries.
I like my pierogis a tad bid crispy however, these were very good!
Will definitely stop again when in the area.

The hot dogs were great, but the real star.. The Onion rings might have been the best I’ve ever had!

Well I’d like to say I’ve been going to yaccos my whole life. My parents bought them, and then myself for my family. I’m 59 years old. All I can say is I’ll buy the sauce, but that’s it. I’ll make my own at home using Hatfield hot dogs, the yacco sauce, my own onions and my own hot and spicy mustard, then I go to Redner’s and buy their Ranch rolls. I have to cut the hot dogs differently to fit into the ranch roll shape but it is the closest thing to the yakko’s original hot dog rolls. For some reason they don’t use the same hot dog rolls, the ones they use now are very thick and chewy, they are terrible!!! they ruin the hot dog. Plus the hot dog rolls we’re not only terrible but they were sliced really weird, they weren’t sliced properly. Which really didn’t matter because we cut out a big part of the middle of the role just to make the edible but then the hot dogs are sloppy because they were falling apart from the rolls having to be cut. So I am very super disappointed that my favorite hot dog in the world has been ruined simply by the hot dog roll that yakko’s chooses to use now. Another thing is the people that work there aren’t very friendly at all. And we got doggie packs to take home and extra sauce and they didn’t have anything ready we ended up waiting a long time for them.

What happened to Yocco’s? Been there many times over the past 20-years, every time I’m in the Allentown area. Always loved them. Hadn’t been in a few years, stopped in mid 2025, not the same dog! The dogs used to be skinny and griddled to a nice caramelized finish. Now they are plump boiled dogs. Was this a one off, ran out of dogs and went to the supermarket replacement, or is this the new normal?

Slammmmin… as a New Yorker, how do I go back and explain to everyone how these are the best hot dogs I’ve ever had…or, maybe I’ll keep this place my little secret.
As soon as you walk in, you’re greeted with nostalgia. Old school layout, big counter where you order and pickup from. You can see all the deliciousness being cooked.
I also got probably one of the best Diet Coke’s from a fountain ever!
Place was busy but the line was so quick

I won’t pretend that this food is quality food. It’s not but I think its delicious! This is old fashioned, cheap heartburn fast food that is locally owned and actually fresher than fastfood chains. Is it kinda gross and messy? Yes. Will it give you heartburn? I can almost guarantee it! But man oh man, their dogs are killer! Don’t be put off by the pics of the dogs. If you are looking for some sort of gormet hot dog then go to Five Guys or something. This is classic cheap eats American dining. The combo of onions, brown mustard and their supurb chili makes these dogs one of a kind!
We all have some kind of guilty pleasure gross food. For me its Yocco’s dogs. They make a great cheesesteak too! I am glad I live far from these places because I would be eating here all the time hahaha. I actually prefer the Allentown location over this one, tastes a little better, but points for this one having a drive-thru!
Long live Yocco’s and locally owned cheap eats!

Saw the sign on the highway and had to try them out. Huge line. Drive-Thru busy also. Line moved quick. The people of Allentown seem to love this place. Although they did not look the best they sure tasted good. At 1.99 it sure beats Nathan’s 5.99 dog- Hands down. Personally I am a mustard and Kraut guy so it was a little disappointing to not have that option. Cash Only.
