Such a aesthetic atmosphere with such comforting food. Great portion size for the price. All the ingredients are super healthy and you get to pick exactly what you want. The broth is very flavorful and warm and the sauce bar is also very nice. Highly recommend eating there. Great for eating alone or with one or two friends.

There aren’t any malatang restaurants where I live, so I had really been missing it.
I finally got to have malatang here for the first time in almost a year.
The price was affordable, and I really enjoyed the food.
The only downside is that there isn’t much table space, and most of the seating is set up for individuals, so it might be a bit difficult for a larger group to sit and eat together.

BAD HYGIENE & CONCERNING FOOD SAFETY! Went there today, and there was a bug in the soup. Maybe I was the lucky customer that got some extra protein in my soup as gift. Talked to the staff, none of whole were able to communicate in English, and ended up getting a refund for my order. I would like potential customers to be aware of this and watch out for any extra gift in the soup.

You walk in and fill up your bowl with whichever ingredients you like. Then it is priced based on weight and you select a broth. Don’t forget your choice of noodles when you fill your bowl. There is also a station where you can make meat dipping sauce or just add it to your soup.
It’s delicious every time, and I really enjoy picking new items since they have interesting meat and veggie choices. The service is quick, and it has a cozy vibe inside. The only thing I do not like is that the tall chairs are very narrow. 3/4 of my friend group had issues sitting down because of the narrow seats. I have birth giving hips, you know haha.
Definitely come and check out this spot. You also better know how to use chopsticks.

Pretty good food. You pick the ingredients you want and they cook it for you. They also have a lot of different broth options, ranging from tomato to spicy bone broth. Can be vegetarian if you want, and you decide how much meat vs veggies you want. It’s super flexible and you can get really creative.

Walking into the restaurant, all I could notice was how wet the floor was and how humid it was in there. Difficult to enjoy the anyways mid food. The broth (tomato) was flavorless and needed a lot of salt, and the noodles were overcooked. For the price, not worth it at all.
