With the chilly weather today, I decided to try the warm grass jelly dessert. It came with boba, red bean, taro, and taro balls, plus peanuts on the side for those with allergies—but of course, I added them in. The dessert was sweet, but not overly so—just perfectly delicious and comforting.
Grass jelly is known in Asian culture for its health benefits, including aiding digestion and supporting blood sugar regulation, so enjoying this dessert felt both indulgent and good for me. Yes Boba is truly my go-to spot for a sweet treat in my life.
And I have to give a shout-out to their Taiyaki—fish-shaped waffles filled with your choice of matcha, Nutella, mozzarella cheese, custard, or red bean. I’ve tried them all, and not a single one has disappointed.
Run…don’t walk to Yes Boba
We order the Taro Milk with Boba, something new, and a taiyaki just about every time. The taro milk is made with fresh taro, which really stands out and makes the flavor just that much better.
The Taiyaki is really good and freshly made for each order. It reminds me of the taiyaki I had in Japan. I especially like the mozzarella taiyaki
Interior is very clean, nicely decorated, and spacious. Prices aren’t too high given the quality and care.
Read the review on here about the sweetness levels which made me give them a try and it’s worth it.
My mom is adverse to new things and even she really liked the Thai latte and said it wasn’t too sweet.
While the drinks weren’t bittersweet, they were still really good. I only tried the brown sugar milk tea, but their other drinks look super delish. I will say I did still find the drink sweet, but getting it 50% the second time I went was way better.
The taro meets taro has boba, taro, and mochi i think. 3 different toppings but when you eat it, they all feel similar, chewy. You can barely taste the difference with the 3 aside from the boba is sweeter. I recommend this flavor if you like chewing/mochi stuff. Im not too much of a fan of this combination but im going to try other flavors next time.
The taiyaki is also good. Freshly made and the custard is not too sweet.
The place looks sleek and nice. Lots of parking available around.
My only bit of constructive feedback is that the mocha iced macchiato was a bit bitter and could’ve benefited from more cream and sugar.
Staff was quick and super friendly! Prices are reasonable!
The taiyaki (stuffed waffles) are FRESH and made to order, unlike some other places. We got the red bean filling, which was lightly sweet and authentic.
The taro milk tea was clearly a cut above the competition, with its fresh taro taste – such a delightful surprise!
The staff members were nice, helpful, and patient. I sat back and enjoyed the very comfy chairs while they prepared everything fresh to order. Lovely experience! I will be back soon.
