you can go find a buffet almost anywhere, but then you have to go through the fact that everything taste like it may be has been out for a while. Not when you go here. Everything tastes, so fresh, and they always do an amazing job of making sure that it is packed in a way that it will not spill. The eggrolls have a wonderful flavor, the crab Rangoon are amazing! Now, if you’ve got room after all of that done, then try to General Tso’s chicken or the orange chicken, both of which are really good. We like to mix it with some fried rice, but who doesn’t? When I’m in Evansville and I’m looking for some good Chinese food I definitely go to Yen ching.

I’ve been eating here for years and the quality is still top notch. Always a nice experience. Best crab rangoon in the tri-state!!!! Closed on Tuesdays.

New in town and tried this restaurant for the first time. We chose this restaurant based on the number of positive reviews. I’ll start with the positives- the restaurant was clean and the people were friendly. The negative- the food wasn’t very good. We ordered several different items so my family could try them. The chicken chow mein was rather flavorless and mushy- odd texture. The sweet and sour shrimp was okay, had a chemically after taste. The sauce on the beef with pea pods and the pepper steak was oddly thick and didn’t offer a ton of flavor. My husband did like the egg rolls. Honestly, I don’t think I’d try this restaurant again.

Would have been 5 stars except we recently ate at a Chinese restaurant that was just a bit better.

If you want delicious food no matter what you order, this is the place. The meat and rice is not dry or overcooked like most places around here. The staff is very friendly and prompt with service and refills. This is my new favorite restaurant! No wonder they have been around for a long time…they know what they’re doing!

My first time being here. Very nice decor and seating. Menu gave very good options. Service was great. Our waitress wouldn’t let my drink get past 50% and took dishes away when we were done. Explained what dishes would take longer to cook, too.

For me, this is the most authentic Chinese restaurant in Evansville. The food isn’t bought from the same supplier as most Chinese restaurants that I have visited. The atmosphere is really great. I love the egg drop soup and their General Tsos chicken. They had to remove their buffet due to Covid, but their food quality is superb. I bought a family package for four adults and we had enough for lunch the next day. Their service is always friendly and top notch.

Food is absolutely positively disgusting. My dog can make better fried rice. The beef Lo Mein tasted like chicken raman noodles, the beef was stringy and had no flavor. My Kung Bao chicken and shrimp only tasted decent because the flavor of the peanuts overpowered everything. All the meat taste like it was bagged months ago and boiled before serving. The only thing I can recommend is the fortune cookie. This restaurant is made for old people that can only eat mushy flavorless food. Thank you.
