Dine-in is still a beautiful experience, and the crab ragoon is still the best in town. The Flaming Volcano is a fun date night drink. I love how they box your food up for you.

I ordered the combo lo mein (beef, chicken, and shrimp) and a 6 count crab rangoon. The noodles were overcooked and mushy, and had no taste. So were the beef and chicken. The crab rangoons were sour and had a very strong chive taste. It will also not sweet like I had imagined. Overall I was disappointed with my order, especially since I paid $25 for it. The restaurant did have nice decor. Safe to say I will not be back.

It has been a while since we visited. Last few visits food quality wasnt as good so we stopped going We decided to try Yen Cheng again today and it was great! Food quality was excellent, service was excellent. We definitely will be back!

Place was empty when we got there about 1pm on a Sunday. Food was still fresh, hot and delicious. Do not sleep on this place if you are looking for good food. Also, the portions are very large and me and my wife could have easily split one entree.

you can go find a buffet almost anywhere, but then you have to go through the fact that everything taste like it may be has been out for a while. Not when you go here. Everything tastes, so fresh, and they always do an amazing job of making sure that it is packed in a way that it will not spill. The eggrolls have a wonderful flavor, the crab Rangoon are amazing! Now, if you’ve got room after all of that done, then try to General Tso’s chicken or the orange chicken, both of which are really good. We like to mix it with some fried rice, but who doesn’t? When I’m in Evansville and I’m looking for some good Chinese food I definitely go to Yen ching.

I have lived in Evansville all my life, yet never been to Yen Ching till this visit. Great decor, good menu selection, and I loved the entire page of island style drinks!! Ordered the Peppered Beef & Chicken and she ordered the Sweet & Sour Chicken. Everything was tasty and very satisfying! I indulged in a Mai Tai and also an Island Beach Bum beverage. Both on point!! Enjoyed our first visit and will definitely be a returning customer!

For me, this is the most authentic Chinese restaurant in Evansville. The food isn’t bought from the same supplier as most Chinese restaurants that I have visited. The atmosphere is really great. I love the egg drop soup and their General Tsos chicken. They had to remove their buffet due to Covid, but their food quality is superb. I bought a family package for four adults and we had enough for lunch the next day. Their service is always friendly and top notch.

Service at Yen Ching was outstanding. Not only were they fast, polite, and accurate, they kept my water glass full the entire meal (that means a lot because I drink a lot).
Food was hot and fresh.

This is a very lovely and authentic chinese restaurant. Absolutely love the decor both in and out of the building. Food was served fresh and blistering hot. I opted for egg rolls, egg drop soup and hunan fish extra spicy. The egg rolls are massive and very good. The egg drop soup is a bit different here than your standard chinese restaurant. Various veggies were included which you rarely see. The hunan fish was very tender and delicious. The portion size was most generous. I swear my take out box weighs more than 3 pounds!
All in all I was highly impressed and will be back again. Lots of things to try on this big menu.

First off, staff is the best. Love them! This is my husband’s and my favorite Chinese place in the area. He brought me here 22 years ago on one of our first dates. Loved it then, love it today. The Crab Rangoon is the only Crab Rangoon that taste like crab. Every place else just taste like cream cheese. We have our favorite dishes as well, and they never fail. Plenty to provide us lunch the next day.
