First time at this place it was about 7:30 pm. I went to get a menu came back to order. I was waiting and Waiting for about 10 minutes until they decided to stop walking all over me and ask did I want to place and order. Okay no problem because I wanted to try the food. 1. They didn’t have ribs. 2 no potatoes ready to serve. So I ordered 2 brisket plates and sausage. The girl said about 20 minutes I said Okay and walked back to my vehicle I waited I sent my husband in to pay for the food they couldn’t find my order or is was mixed up or something. So he replaced the order we had to wait some more about 45 minutes total. Ok fine it’s a restaurant. I finally got the food and went home just to opened my plate to a half of serving of coleslaw and a thin slice of brisket. But the brisket was tasty I give them that.

After waiting weeks to try the place due to conflicting schedules, my wife and I arrived at 4:30 on Saturday for our first visit. We were the only customers in the place.
After being seated and delivering our drink orders, they tell us there is No pork and No brisket. This in a BBQ restaurant! Only chicken tenders and smoked chicken quarter (leg n a thigh), and hot dogs, etc. So we both ordered the chicken with fries n cole slaw and fries and baked beans.
– Chicken was way over smoked and WAY over cooked….to the point the vast majority of the meat was stiff, dry and inedible. The meat was ambient temp like it was sitting in a holding tray on a counter (which it probably was as it certainly didn’t need to be warming further in an oven!).
– Fries were under cooked and lukewarm.
– Baked beans appeared to be right out of a can and lukewarm.
– Cole slaw was “okay.”
– The Texas Toast was actually the best part of the meal.
$28 for a thoroughly disapponting meal.
I had to give it 1 star as I couldn’t give zero on this app.
We will not be back. We will not recommend this to our friends.

We had an arrangement to have food catered for 200 people for our baby shower yesterday. We discussed this weeks in advance of the event. We touched base with the owner(s) multiple times and on Friday evening, as well. Yesterday morning, we could not get in touch with anyone after calling multiple times. We even drove to the restaurant, and no one was there. Needless to say, Yellow Jackets BBQ pocketed over $1000, and were willing to let hundreds of people go hungry at a baby shower! I cannot leave a zero star review, so one will have to do. We honestly do not have the appropriate words to describe the blatant disrespect and disregard for other people. This place does not deserve anyone’s business.

Ordered 2 potatoes and waited 30 minutes only to be told that someone would have to order something else because they only had one potato left. Lady behind the counter acted rude when the potato was sent back. We did not have time to wait due to it being a lunch break which was mostly wasted in the establishment waiting on nothing. Unorganized business. Will not return.

The staff was nice. However they need to work on the food preparation. The serving of barbeque was small. Potato salad and cold slaw had way too much mayonaise. The mac and cheese tasted like there was no cheese in it.

They saved the day! Our pot roast didn’t work out and we were having company over so I called them last minute and they were able to make us delicious ribs, toast, baked beans and Mac n cheese. It was all really good!

I wish I had taken a picture of the plate because the piece of brisket was like a slice of thin ham. However it did have good taste and was tender, the ribs were good , however they forgot the coleslaw and the Mac and cheese sauce was a waste of time.

I attended an event that they had committing to catering for over 200 people. They already had taken a deposit and confirmed they would be there. Not only did they not show but they wouldn’t even respond when attempted to be contacted. Thankfully not all businesses in the Dothan area are degenerates. Dobbs barbecue saved the day and the party.

I have visited this restaurant 3 times and have not been pleased with the food or service each time. This last time, we ordered our food then waited 30 minutes only to be told that we would have to order something else because they ran out of what we ordered. Will not be returning.
