I really hate being the one against the grain here, maybe I just caught this place on a bad night but the food was really bland almost no flavor at all.
The food looked really good but it tasted to me like I threw a few days old sandwich together at home, really disappointing.
The salad looked really good as well but had very little flavor compared to other Caesar salads I’ve had before.

Huge kudos to the team at Yello Sub in Lawrence. We needed a couple sandwiches for the noon game at Arrowhead. Knowing they wouldn’t be open in time to get the food Sunday morning, we got them Saturday night. They fixed the sandwiches with just the meats and cheese on the bread, placed a piece of parchment paper between the meat and cheese, separately wrapped the lettuce and veggies in foil and put the oil vinegar in a separate container. The sandwiches were perfect this morning! No other sandwich shop would have gone the extra mile like Yello Sub did. You all are the bomb!

One of my favorite sub-locations! I never fail to get horrible service and quality from the big names like Subway and Jimmy John’s. But it’s always top-notch at Yellow Sub/Planet Sub! My go-to is the creamy crab, but the beefeater is equally good. #sub #sandwich #foodie

Been cranking out great subs since 1979! Awesome menu. Come in. Make your order and they give you a playing card for your order #. Outstanding and friendly service. Wheelchair access and handicap parking is plentiful.

It Was good BUT the food and service is going downhill. It Was really good the first few times I went and I even started taking more friends and family there to try it. After a few weeks they WEREN’T the same. Not sure if it’s a new hire or manager but oh brother this place needs some help. we’ve been uncharged for what they say is “ free condiments” online and I’ve been refused the free guest wifi every time we go in to eat. the last three times I’ve gone, I’ve been given little to ZERO protein in my sandwiches and wraps (they just load it with lettuce and other veggies!!!) I’ve even asked specifically to not have any at this point because it’s all or nothing with whoever’s making the food back there. they don’t really listen to specifications, even when specifically asked.

Overall food was very good. I got a salad and the “Experience” sandwich. The salad was nothing special. The sandwich, however, was very good. The bread was so crisp and the sandwich was a very creamy chipotle chicken sub. Also pretty cheap for how much sandwich I got.
My only complaint is that I had to wait around 15-20 min for my food. I was expecting a quick experience seeing that it is a sandwich shop, but felt like it was taking too long for what I got. Definitely would recommend ordering ahead if you can.

I went here a few weeks back to grab a bite to eat and watch the game. It had been a few years since I’d been in town and stopped by.
I walked in and ordered my food with no issues and kind service. I then went to sit down and watch the game to unfortunately find out they have closed 3/4 of the dining rooms. They have about 6 tables open in the main section of the building.
The sides were blocked off with chairs and no access. When I pulled up I thought someone was in there watching the game. Turns out it was an employee over there watching the game.
Food was still Planet Sub but was not as hot as I would’ve anticipated especially since I sat there to eat.
If you go here I’d recommend it being during a slower time of day to get a sandwich not waiting.
Also, wouldn’t eat here again until the other rooms are open.
It seems as though the inside and upkeep is to difficult.
Especially since they are paying for the Cable subscription and not having their customers use it. As well as space that’s going to waste. Can tell the inside has taken a beating and hasn’t done anything inside to help the upkeep of the restaurant.
Again I would still order from here, just won’t dine in again. Which is unfortunate cause I travel and won’t be traveling back through this location.

We are here from out of town and we found yello sub, they have a very unique and home grown refreshing feel!
I gave them a picky and slightly complicated order and they handled it.
Turns out they overcharged me by $2.85 and and a gentleman walked up to me and told me about the mishap and straightened everything out and refunded me the money. So also a very trustworthy establishment!!!
