While in Little Rock Arkansas I visited “Yeh Mon” for some Jamaican food. Every city I travel to (and in my city) I enjoy trying Jamaican cuisine.
The customer service was so great. I believe one of the owners (female) assisted me. I told her that she was so enjoyable, I’d come back to talk to her. I ordered Jerk chicken and I enjoyed it.
The food had good flavor and was fresh.
The rice and peas, and the cabbage were pretty simple.
The surprise treat for ne was the beef patty. I tried Jamaican beef patty previously and was not a fan at all.
The beef patty I had at ” Yeh Mon” was fresh, flaky and tasty.
I ordered a strawberry cake also and it was ok.
Overall, I liked my food. I will be going back to try some other foods. I’ll also recommend this place for the welcoming, friendly customer service that I found so refreshing. Btw, my food was take-out.

Yeh Mon: Authentic Jamaican Restaurant offers a genuine taste of Jamaica. I ordered the jerk chicken with white rice and a beef patty on the side, while my wife had the brown stewed chicken with rice and peas. The beef patty was authentic and perfectly cooked. The jerk chicken was flavorful but leaned sweeter and milder than traditional versions, likely adjusted for local preferences. The brown stewed chicken was exceptional, and the rice and peas complemented every dish wonderfully. The side of cabbage was a delightful surprise, adding a unique touch to the meal.

I visited this establishment on my lunch break. I ordered the jerk shrimp and an order of coco bread. I’ve tried coco bread in Jamaica and absolutely loved it so I was excited to see it on the menu. The shrimp was absolutely delicious. It had a nice kick to it and I also enjoyed the cabbage. I’m not a big fan of beans or rice so I figured I wouldn’t like it but that’s just a personal choice. The coco bread was a big disappointment. It tasted like it had been sitting in the fridge uncovered and had acquired the taste of the surrounding objects. Despite the portion sizes for the price, the jerk shrimp was really good. I do plan to go back to try the jerk chicken patties.

This place has great jerk chicken, jerk curry and rice. We also tried the jerk Pattie and beef patties. Overall the food was delicious and hot. The seasoning was on point and this was worth the experience. the interior is pretty bland but the service it good. I would like to see the food as I am picking out but they keep the tops on the food to ensure that it is warm. Also the portion sizes are not even. One had more meat and less side and mother had more sides than meat.

The food reminded me of authentic Jamaican food from Jamaica itself with all the great taste that it is known for. From what the chef explained, the natural oil that is present in beef, (in my case ox-tail) was skimmed off before cooking so that doesn’t end up in the final product and clog up your system. Not many restaurants go through the extra mile to ensure that their customers eat healthy food. Kudos to Yeh Mon Restaurant and a 5 star ratings approved by a Jamaican in transit who can verify for it’s authenticity.

Fake Jamaican restaurant, The jerk sauce is not really jerk sauce. It tastes more like Carolina gold barbecue sauce. They charge you extra for plantains, but at any authentic/traditional Jamaican restaurant plantains are always included and it’s never extra like a side dish. Chicken was dry and stale tasting, asked for gravy on the rice, they didn’t add it(as you can see) If you come from out of town and want Jamaican food, this ain’t the place go. Also I lived in Atlanta and know how real Jamaican cuisine should look/taste.

This places is authentic and flavorful. Staff were welcoming and very friendly. It was very easy to order. The food was fabulous! Jerk chicken has the hint of sweet with the spice and juicy. The oxtail on Friday’s just melted in our mouths. Rice and beans with cabbage and carrots felt home cooked. Will be back.

We had over 100 people, and I must say, the owner of the restaurant was incredibly gracious. Many of my students had never experienced this type of food before, and after one bite they were so happy we came here. Overall, the atmosphere was so warm and inviting and I am super glad we came to this wonderful restaurant.

Yeh Mon has the best Jamaican food in town! I ordered the Jerk chicken, Goat curry, Shrimp curry, and Jamaican beef patty. The jerk chicken and goat curry came with a side of cabbage and rice with beans, and the shrimp curry came with a side of salad. All of the food was fresh and delicious. The food we ordered was plenty for 4 and we even had some left over. This was my first time trying Jamaican food and I’ll definitely be returning! 4 stars because I felt the dishes could’ve done with more spice, but otherwise fantastic. Their menu changes throughout the week, and I can’t wait to try more dishes in the future.
