There’s a reason why Ye Old Lamplighter has been in business for over 55 years. Established in 1965, this restaurant provides a welcoming atmosphere reminiscent of family gatherings. The low-lit dining experience is complemented by solid service and delectable plates that will delight your taste buds. The menu features an array of dishes, including steaks, salmon, and fish and chips, each expertly prepared. Be sure to order a dirty martini, which is highly recommended. Special recognition is due to our server, Amanda, and the owner, Dave, who is actively engaged with his guests. This establishment is certainly worth a visit.

When they say don’t judge a book by its cover this is the spot they were talking about. Definitely a hidden gem in San Bernardino. Very nice atmosphere and servers were very friendly. I ordered the Cajun chicken sandwich and it was delicious. I will definitely be back soon!

We had our first experience at Ye Olde Lamplighter last night and it was well worth it. My husband and I both enjoyed ourselves. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was great.
The reservations were full, but we were able to get a spot in the bus, which was perfect. It was in and I love that the decorations the staff were very friendly and alternative.
We had the ribeye and the prime rib also which were good to perfection. The ribeye had wonderful normal and the prime rib had favor through and through.
The clam chowder was delectable in the garlic bread was divine simple, but tasty.
we will definitely be back again.
I do suggest making reservations, although they will do their best to accommodate if you walk in, but there’s no guarantees.
The location is what it is, but the restaurant is well worth it.
A fine spot in San Bernardino to continue to give back to our community and keep small businesses thriving.

Came here after work on a Friday with my wife, and was not sure what to expect because it looks so low-key and the lights are so dim. My wife got a lemon drop and the bartender made it really well! I got a hangar 24 , pretty good selection. I was in thee mood for a steak so I tried the prime rib? ( my first time ever having it ,period) I honestly did not enjoy it, but this may have been my fault for experimenting with this dish since I was t even sure if I would like prime rib. I may come back for the burgers though, they sound good judging by the description (1/2 lb burgers) and toppings they offer. I love the dim east of lights and the fact that when you are in there you forget you are on 40th and waterman. The booths are nice and the restaurant itself seems sophisticated in many ways.

Great food, great service just an all around wonderful experience. This cozy little gem of a restaurant/bar has been in business for years and years. There is a reason for that. The service is always good but most of the time great. The food is always consistently delicious. Whatever steak you order, no matter how you like it prepared, it is going to be right. Prices are good and they make great drinks as well.

Worst experience ever. The salmon was tasty but the next day my friend and I were slammed with gut issues. Days later he spiked a 107 fever and I’ve been sick for weeks with gut issues. We both ended up on antibiotics for an ameoba and we 1000% got it for this restaurant. Likely from the beef but it’s hard to say. I’m miserably on a course of antibiotics and regret eating the soup and any beef. Either that or the kitchen must be dirty.

OMG! first let me say I have not had a dining experience like this in a very long time. The staff was super friendly. Great atmosphere and very welcoming. Their cocktails were delicious. We got the salmon and the rack of lamb which was worth every penny. The food was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be coming back.

My wife and I typically come here for family dinners and such. We got takeout the other night since they’re open for take home orders. Great food, easy experience. We played everything up at home and it was just great.
