First time trying today, it was FANTASTIC. It’s nice you can do 1 pizza with a speciality pizza on each half! We ordered the brisket pizza, but unfortunately the brisket wasn’t ready yet so we did the bbq chicken, it was fantastic. When I went to pick it up, Yaya gave us a free small chicken schwarma pizza to try as the brisket wasn’t ready yet, IT WAS FANTASTIC! He was a super nice guy and the pizza was fantastic, we will definitely be back!

Yaya’s Pizza in Ypsilanti is easily one of the best hidden gems around. The crust is always perfectly crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, and the sauce has that rich, homemade flavor that sets it apart from chain restaurants. The cheese melts beautifully and the toppings are always fresh and generous — you can tell they care about quality here.
The staff is super friendly and welcoming, and you can tell they take pride in their food. Whether I’m grabbing a quick slice after class or ordering a whole pie to share with friends, it’s always consistent and delicious.

I ordered the chicken swarma pizza in 12 inch (medium) and 12 piece wing with barbecue sauce on the side. The pizza is the most pleasant pizza I’ve ever had. Not greasy. Not messy. None of the flavors are overpowering each other. It’s the freshest pizza I’ve ever had. It feels so guilt free. The chicken wings before opening smelled like Coney Island wings so I knew they were gonna be good. My first time trying Yayas and it’s so worth it to go back. The value definitely matches the price. I’m so satisfied with my experience. When they said ready in 15 minutes it was exactly 15 minutes from the second I placed my order in person. Next time will get a slice of the biscoff cheesecake. I highly recommend this place.

WOW!!!!! Obsessed!!!! All 3 pizzas we tried were amazing! I am so so happy they had gluten free crust because I cannot bear missing out on their amazing pizza options!! After trying the first bite we were all planning our next visit. We’ve decided we need to try every single menu item. Their speciality pizza toppings are perfect. The pizza dough is so so so soft and tastes light and airy. You can tell all the ingredients are fresh and the owners love making delicious food. The staff working was incredible – efficient and kind. I got lucky to get the fresh batch of their cookies – the cookies were so soft I’ve been craving them since having them haha. I can’t wait to be back!

Yaya’s Pizza is one of our absolute favorites! The pizza is always delicious, and whenever my wife and I want some halal pizza made right, this is the place we turn to. The service is consistently top-notch, and the food is perfect every single time. You can really tell they take pride in their work and care about quality. Always a great experience from start to finish — food done right 100% of the time!
