Biggggg 5 star review for this OG Yaya’s. I’ve been eating here with my family since I can remember… Delectable chicken. I will die on the hill that Yaya’s is the best fast but also healthy option around. And it’s soooo tasty too. The guys working in here are awesome and kind and have been there for decades. Reminder to bring cash!!! The decor also makes me feel like I just hopped in a time machine in a way I just adore. They decorate especially cute for the fall every year too. I love Yaya’s

The food was pretty good. The chicken portion was a little small. It was like it was from a baby chicken. The vegetables were obviously frozen previously. The beans were good and I like the addition of a pita.

I’ve been dining at this YaYa’s location in Clearwater since the ‘90’s and it has always been excellent!!! Entire restaurant looks the same which is fine with me. Food is always fresh and excellent tasting!!! Friendly staff on hand taking orders and putting the food together!! Place is cash only as always, but has an ATM on site if needed to use. It’s great to be able to continually support local mom and pop businesses!!! Always look forward to the amazing flavor of their food!!! Keep up the great work!!!

Having had grown up in Safety Harbor, I’ve been eating at this Yayas location for as long as I can remember. Now, I live hundreds of miles away and every time I come back home to visit, Yayas is a must at some point of the trip. Nothing has changed, including the interior (which I’m saying is a great thing). The food is always exactly how I have always known it, delicious, cooked in sight (must be right), and served by a friendly employee. The menu is loaded with healthy options. It will be a sad day if the northern Pinellas area let’s this gem slip away along with all the other great places they’ve allowed to get pushed out in lieu of more corporate garbage.
CASH ONLY. Always has been and I love them for it. (No credit. No debit. No tap to pay. There is an ATM on site.)

I ordered because the reviews were so good. The rice has more flavor than the chicken. I’ve actually never had chicken this bland… ever. Well cooked, but definitely could use some seasoning. Whoever was in the kitchen on 1/30/26 around lunch time. Nope.

Great place for food that’s fast but not fast food! I’ve been passing this place for years and finally decided to stop in and give it a try. I was not disappointed! The grilled chicken is delicious and there are plenty of sides to choose from. Nothing is fried in a deep fryer! Big plus for me! I had the 2 piece dark meal with mashed potatoes and gravy and a soda. Under $15. If you’re dining low carb, or paleo, this is the perfect quick option for you! The people are friendly and the restaurant is older but kept clean. It’s unassuming and comfy. I would say it’s kind of cafeteria style. You place your order and literally the other person is putting it together as you call it out. Boom! Hot and ready! One caveat they don’t take credit cards but they will take debit cards but there’s an ATM fee- I think it was $1.35. But they gladly take cash. I’ll be back!

Place was empty, I should have known better. Food had no flavor and The chicken was dry. Save yourself time and energy and go buy a rotisserie chicken and make your own sides. And as a sidenote, if you decide to not listen to this review and go anyway, you better bring cash because even though there’s no signs anywhere saying they do not take debit cards if you try to pay with a card, they’ll tell you no

This is a restaurant that hasn’t changed since it opened. It is cash only, and the menu board looks from the 70’s.
The chicken is flame grilled, and then stored on a grill until served. What that also means is the chicken could be fresh and juicy, or drier, depending on when it was cooked.
Pita is ok, and the honey butter is tasty. Mashed potatoes were solid, and was very impressed with the salad.

Online menu is not accurate. They are also cash only. Which is fine, however the only disclaimer is a tiny sign by the front door that is covered up by shrubs. Felt bad that they started my food and then I had to say I couldn’t pay for it since I only had my card. They have an ATM available but the fees deterred me from using it. Weird experience.

Good old school dining experience. Great tasting chicken in varying quantities according to your appetite and budget. But you better bring CASH!
