Muncie’s most underappreciated restaurant. The food is always hot and good. Half & Half is the way to go. This week I chose Drunken Chicken and B&B (Black Beans & corn in a sweet sauce. One of 3 vegan options and one of 5 gluten free options) There are also 4 dairy free options. Jambalaya on Fridays and Saturdays. Be sure to get extra bread. Have a half dozen favorites so that yours is always available. Because when they are out…they are out.
Plenty of seat to meet big off campus groups for lunch or dinner. In the heart of the village. Its priced more than Indy Yats, but so is everything on a college campus.

Great place. Food is good. Lacks tasting 100% authentic (although many make gumbo different). Had the gumbo and the jambalaya. Amazing customer service. They’ll even let you sample dishes. The bread is just wow!! I highly recommend this place!!

They gave us samples and immediately decided to eat here after a sample! Excellent customer service. Vegan White Chili is comfort food for a rainy day. Delicious! Large portion and filling. I’ll be back.

You can definitely say it’s different but not in the best of ways☹️. It was pricey and I got way less than I used to last year. The staff was barley wanting to even greet me I just waited confused till they came out. And as you’ll see in the picture this was my “second” piece of bread I got. What happened??! Last year you guys were boomin now I hear not to go and now Ik why

I got the half and half with black beans and corn and sausage and red beans. Both were delicious and the potato salad is amazing!

This was my first visit to this location. Food gualilty, service, and proces is consistent with other locations that I have regularly visited in the past. Not sure if something has changed since the last time I visited a Yat’s, or if the college location is different, but portions seemed to me much smaller than ones I had received in the past for the same price, but this could aslo be my imagination due to the new packaging. Far fewer hot sauce selections as well, but they are good options none the less. The one downside to this location (or anywhere else in the BSU villiage) for Muncie locals is the parking, which tends to be occupied by students who should be parking elsewhere.

I give food service and atmosphere a five star review. Can’t beat the service and atmosphere! Food always delivers for me. It is somewhat spicy which I like!

Went in to place a to go order, was greeted immediately and given a heads up that they had a big order placed and a new person working in the back and they would be with me in just a second. I barely waited to order and then the person working up front went to the back and made my order and brought it out so I didn’t have to wait on the large order. I had no problem waiting but I thought that was super kind and it was appreciated. And of course the food was wonderful and the bread is top tier delicious!

The food here is amazing—no complaints at all on that front. That’s why it’s tough to only give 2 stars. I drove from Anderson to Muncie last night just for this spot, only to find the doors locked around 10 PM, even though the posted hours said they were open until 11.
What really made it disappointing was that there was no sign or explanation—just an employee inside watching us try to open the door. A simple notice or update would’ve gone a long way. Definitely left feeling let down after making the whole drive.
