Amazing food with proper spice and spiciness. The biryani was delicious and the menu was adequately priced. We also ordered the dessert on their special menu which pleasantly surprised me! It’s like the Asian version of carrot cake with nuts mixed in which makes the texture taste more varied. The waitress who served us was also very polite and friendly, she definitely made the experience more pleasant. Would definitely come again. (Other than the TV playing MVs in the background was a bit too loud)

I’ve always walked past Pinaki wanting to try their food and one blustery day I decided to take refuge from the cold. The staff was very friendly as soon as I entered and the music videos on the TV were very lively! I ordered a paneer butter masala with plain rice and it was just the right amount of spice to warm myself up. Would return and would definitely recommend, worth a visit!

We have been a few times and can highly recommend the dosa’s.
The tea is very addictive with undertones of chocolate, ginger and cardamon. My favourite. Deepti was an attentive server and made sure we were well taken care of

Fantastic place! The food is really good and it’s so good to have a decent South Indian restaurant. Idlys were perfect! Heading back again for dosa! It was a very busy place for a Tuesday night it was constantly full so a bit of a wait for food but worth it. Sorry didn’t have more photos as we ate it quick!

We absolutely love Pinaki – I think it’s the most authentic Indian restaurant in Newcastle. It is also very affordable. Pav bhaji was great but my highlight is always the chicken dum biriyani – best biriyani on the menu!

Absolutely loved my experience at Pinaki in New Castle! I ordered Punugulu, Mirchi Bajji, Curd Rice, Dosa, and Dahi Puri — everything was delicious, but the Dahi Puri stole the show! Food was delivered super fast and tasted incredibly fresh. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming, which made the whole visit even better. Highly recommend if you’re looking for authentic Indian flavors and warm service!

If you’re looking for authentic Indian food in Newcastle, Pinaki Restaurant is an absolute gem! We had an amazing dinner experience here, and it’s easily one of the best spots in the city for Indian cuisine.

The vibe was incredibly positive, and the hospitality was top-notch. The owner and his chef partner were incredibly friendly and welcoming, going above and beyond to ensure our first visit was memorable.

What truly sets Pinaki apart is their unwavering commitment to quality. Every dish is cooked fresh on the spot, and you can taste the difference. It’s such a rare find to enjoy food that’s prepared with so much care and attention.

Loved the entire experience—it’s definitely going on my Indian food bucket list. Highly recommended for anyone craving delicious, authentic Indian flavors!

Absolutely loved it! Pinaki Indian Restaurant nails it with rich, authentic flavors, perfectly spiced dishes, and generous portions. The service is warm and welcoming, and the food tastes like it was cooked with real care (and skill, not shortcuts). Easily one of those places you keep thinking about after the meal. Will be back—happily and hungrily.

Must Try: Dum Biryani, Fry piece biryani, Tatte Idli, Ghee Karam Dosa, Chicken chips, Lamb curry

Great food at reasonable price. Felt like the authentic taste of South India.
We ordered Poori and Pungulu, and it tasted too good. The staff was very polite and responsive, he even offered extra chutney on request.
They didn’t have alcohol options when we visited, might’ve changed later.
Ambience could’ve been a little bit better, but nevertheless food was on point.
Parking available at the rare.
Would love to visit again when I am around.

I ordered the ghee masala dosa and pani puri and both were 10/10! So flavourful, and light but filling. Both dishes were definitely the best versions I’ve had in Newcastle.

Our waitress was very polite and helpful, and the food came out quickly and was delicious.
