Yatai Sushi is a small contemporary sushi only restaurant proudly serving only the freshest fish to the Lincoln City community since 2016. We specialize in takeout because our shop is small and has a limited amount of seating and we do not serve alcohol.

The sushi here lives up to it’s name with its take-out, no-nonsense approach. The street side ordering window and city bustle as you peruse the menu can be a bit daunting when you first step up. But the staff are friendly and quick. I think it pays to show up early as some have found them to be closed. From the sign on the door, it does seem they may run out of ingredients on some days and close early. They have a great selection without being too complicated and the sushi is wonderful. The rice is spot on with a delicious balance of sweet and vinegary with just the right doneness. We particularly liked the lion king with a salmon katsu on top. The portions are generous with a price that is competitive for a sushi spot. While there is no seating, there is something romantic about eating fresh yummy sushi in the privacy of your own place alone with your loved one and the sounds of the ocean nearby. I highly recommend Yatai in Lincoln city for a bite that won’t disappoint.

This place is a window to order sushi to go. I ordered the spicy tuna roll and it was good and spicy! My spicy tuna order came with soy sauce, pickled ginger, wasabi, lemon slice and chop sticks, perfect!

I love your sushi so much that I drive from Salem to eat it. However, I have driven out here 3 times over the last 4 months and every time, you are closed on the days that you are supposed to be open. The first time, they were fixing your sidewalk. The second time you were closed for a month for the holidays. And this time, today, you are closed for no reason. I really wish you would update Google Maps when you are going to be closed

Been here one time and the sushi was very delicious. I’ve been working down in Lincoln city for just over five months and after that one time they’ve had a different sign on the door, saying why they weren’t gonna be open or extending their close time. The only reason I think that that is a little suspicious is because the first time I went there, the lady that took my order was very nice and very friendly, but she was very very bruised. In an unusual manner around her neck. And the unusual open and close times just gives me a weird feeling in my stomach as to her well-being. Maybe I’m just crazy or maybe somebody else has noticed the same thing. Otherwise, the food is delicious.

AMAZING SUSHI!! Light fresh crisp flavors with fantastic sauces! Very fresh and made to order and the rice was perfection! Art fully crafted little space where you order at the counter and they bring your food to you. No alcohol which meant no sake but would be great to take To-go to Black Squid and have a beer there!! Can’t wait to come back!

First time visiting the Oregon Coast. At this moment Yatai Sushi is take out only- which is understandable. I didn’t know what to expect, but my taste buds were zapped! The rolls here look so beautiful- presentation is on POINT! and every single thing I tasted was delicious!!!!! Just wow!!!!

Why they don’t have a full 5 stars yet is baffling. My Wife and I went to the coast to celebrate my 9th month of remission. I wanted the BEST sushi on the coast and good lord we found it. Probably the best in Oregon all together and definitely the best I’ve ever had. Straight up, no b/s, amazing sushi that was beautiful as well. The owners are amazing people that make it themselves and they just made us feel at home. We went both days we were on the coast and I’d drive 3.5 hours again, just for their sushi. I’m not kidding. Best. Sushi. Ever.
