We both wanted to treat ourselves to lobsters. She got the baked stuffed, and it was cooked perfectly. I got the boiled lobster, and it was delicious. The mashed potatoes on the side were tasty too! Both lobsters were cooked so well that the tails, our least favorite parts, were soft, easy to eat, and not chewy (which happens). Yum!
Dessert was also good!
It gets super busy here, and while I was a little bummed we were seated in the back overflow room even though we had reservations, it was ok. We will be back, hopefully with a seat in the cute front room.
The service was on point we had a 7pm reservation and we were sat within 5 minutes of walking in.
They served us our drinks and bread while we looked over the menu. He got the strip steak and I got the Chicken al la Vodka. Both were absolutely delicious. That steak gave me dinner envy. It was perfect season and that great beef taste was not covered by seasoning. It didn’t need steak sauce or anything.
The atmosphere was spectacular. It was not too dark, so you still had the ability to read a menu. They had a live saxophonist, Hollywood Hayward, he was awesome. He played the right songs for the atmospher and it was not loud at all.
I don’t give 5 stars unless it is deserved and this place did. We later found out it was voted best restaurant in the 2025 Cape Cod Times best of. So we chose wisely.
Reading through the comments I saw someone complained about a staff member asking for a review, and as I’ve worked in the industry for a long time, I felt compelled to share my thoughts.
It’s actually commendable when staff ask for feedback when they realize that you really enjoyed the food served, especially during slower periods like winter, as it shows they care about their workplace and want to support it. The request itself isn’t the issue; rather, it’s a reflection of our own empathy towards those just starting out – we’ve all been there! I believe that perhaps the waitress is learning and genuinely trying to gauge satisfaction and improve; after all, nobody asks for feedback unless they’ve put in effort. Good luck to her!
The bread came out fresh and hot with the olive oil dip. You’ll definitely want more bread to either dip in the olive oil or your meal! The lobster mac and cheese is pricey but you definitely get your moneys worth. The cheese is flavorful and comes out really hot with the pasta. The lobster portion is generous is large chunks of lobster that makes this a more filling meal than a lobster roll. This is part of a family of restaurants around Cape Cod. I would give them all a try.
We got the perfect table, looking out the windows( street side). We sat next to a vent however, so the heat made us a bit warm.
Our server was clearly a veteran and was quite professional and courteous.
Food portions were very good, more than I could chew , and was enjoyed.
The seafood risotto was a bit too creamy and hard to eat it all. We think maybe the risotto should be on the side.
Oh, the homemade bread is oh so good, and that big ice cream for dessert is definitely for shares, easily for 4ppl.
Price range was typical, ambiance modern and comfortable. A nice small music set up, and a singer added a lively Friday night atmosphere..
I heard this is a must do spot if in the area , and I agree.
