Looking forward to trying but sadly disappointed. Place was not clean and the omelette was over cooked and dry.!Waitress was eating and drinking at counter then took toast out of toaster and buttered it without even washing her hands. Would definitely not recommend or ever go back. I think the health dept. should do a check on this establishment.

This is more like a diner than a restaurant, which we were excited about. However, this place should not pass a health inspection. Our server was handling menus and taking orders, then would go make toast with her bare hands. She also ate her own meal, standing up, behind the counter right in front of everyone-then went to butter someone’s bagel! Then she took money at the register, and grabbed toast out of the toaster. NO HAND WASHING anywhere in between! Our food was also over cooked pancakes and omelet, but our server never came back to check on us (all while eating and drinking her own food in front of everyone). We would not recommend nor come back as I am concerned what goes on behind the kitchen.

Service was pretty good but the silverware was absolutely filthy. The place just isn’t clean. The food was gross. My daughter’s hot dog came on a piece of bread instead of a bun- that’s pretty weird? Coffee was old. Still can’t get over all the food on the silverware- just about the nastiest thing ever.

I love this restaurant, I’ve been going there for years. I just went to their other location out on Rt.193 (Belmont Avenue) fir the first time in 20 yrs and their equally great. But the Market St location is my favorite restaurant in the Youngstown area. I almost always get their Country Fried Steak but when I went yesterday I ordered their Corn Beef Reuben Omelet, I never heard of such a thing either and I thought it sounded a little weird so I ordered it lol, I’ve gotta tell you that this concoction was amazing, who would have thought lol, I definitely recommend it. This restaurant is managed great by the owner who’s a very nice guy, he talks to his customers and wants everyone to be happy with their experience there, they keep the restaurant sparkling clean and the servers a very friendly, yesterday our server was a young man who went over and beyond, I believe he mentioned that he was either the owners nephew or son, I cant remember (that happens once you hit 50 yrs old lol), anyhow he was extremely polite and friendly, you couldn’t find a better server then he was. I just want to thank everyone at the Yankee Kitchen for pulling together and making such a great place for everyone to come and enjoy a fantastic meal. Thank you.

I Would rate the food but after the 45 minutes I spent seated with three kids we sadly didnt’t even get the chance to order … My wife had to literally grab a menu after 30 minutes of just sitting there staring at the sugar( wishing we had gotten asked for drinks)… 3 family’s were waited on that came in AFTER us and we’re seated IN FRONT AND BEHIND US… Then I got the hint…. Guess I’ll go to IHOP across the street where we won’t feel overlooked ✊
