I want to say 4.5 stars. We got the large sampler platter and the loganberry burnt ends. Ribs and smoked turkey were the top favs, along with the corn bread and smoked Mac and cheese. Some of the side dishes were a little dry (hence the half star deduction) but the flavor was great on everything.
The server was very friendly and attentive and the prices were super reasonable. We will be back.

This place is legit! As someone who loves to throw meats in the smoker, and who has developed their own rub over the years, I know what BBQ should taste like. All of the meats they serve are crazy good from the turkey, to the brisket, ribs, pulled pork, and hot links. To go with the meats i had some of their sides like beans, Mac and cheese, cheesy potatoes, and coleslaw slaw. All were very good. If you haven’t eaten here yet, do yourself a favor and check them out. The food is delicious and the portions are generous.

Excellent barbecue joint. Brisket was on point and delightfully incorporated into a cheesesteak sandwich. Beans were solid, but maybe a 3 1/2 out of five. Wednesdays is wings day, so gave those a dance. I would call them an acquired taste and far from the norm because they are smoked first really enjoyed Yankee. Barbecue will definitely be going back.

This is my new Favorite BBQ place in Buffalo. I’ve been here twice so far and both times were amazing. The first time I had the Brisket and Rib combo with mac and cheese and slaw. The ribs were super flavorful and moist. The Brisket was out of this world. It was super juicy and just the right amount of smokey and savory. It was fall apart tender. The sides were also very solid. The second time I had the Pastrami Sandwich with Cheesy Potatoes. This was the best Pastrami sandwich I’ve ever had. It was so moist and tender it basically melted in your mouth. The Sauerkraut topping was just the right amount and super tasty. The staff has been very friendly and efficient both times. Live this place! Great food Yankee BBQ!!!
P.S I’d like to add their menu isn’t super big which tells me what they take time and effort to make sure everything is high quality. Please don’t change a thing!

After a long day under the Saturday lights, our Hamburg Little Loop boys walked away with three wins over their rivals, the CSRA Cougars — and let me tell you, the energy was sky-high. As one does after a clean sweep, we went hunting for a celebratory meal. The boys were unanimous: BBQ.
We’re a family that loves trying new places, especially BBQ joints, and Yankee BBQ in Orchard Park checked all the right boxes — local, family-run, and just a short throw from the Bills stadium.
From the moment we walked in, the place had that authentic smokehouse feel — the kind of joint that’s been marinating in history as long as its ribs have been in the smoker. The walls are packed with Bills memorabilia — jerseys, photos, helmets — it’s part restaurant, part museum, and all Buffalo pride.
We grabbed a big table, soaking in the atmosphere, and right next to us sat none other than Hall of Famer Andre Reed and his crew. They were having an absolute blast — plates piled high, shots flowing, the kind of good-time energy that makes you smile just being nearby.
We showed up a bit late, so the ribs and mac & cheese were already sold out (which, in my book, means they’re probably incredible — just gives us a reason to come back). So we pivoted to the meat by the pound — half a pound of pulled pork, half a pound of brisket, plus buns and deviled eggs on the side.
The table immediately split into two camps: Enzo and I were Team Brisket — tender, smoky, perfectly barked — while August and Roman held strong on Team Pulled Pork, swearing it was the juiciest they’d ever had. Annemarie played it safe in the middle, stealing bites from both sides.
Before long, silence fell — the universal sign of a family annihilating their meal. Three football-playing boys can eat like linebackers, and I swear I need a second job just to keep up with their post-game appetites. Thankfully, prices were more than fair, and the portions generous enough to fill every last stomach at the table.
Just when we thought the night couldn’t get any better, one of the guys from Andre Reed’s table stopped us on the way out, asking how everything was. My wife mentioned the boys’ big wins that day, and he smiled, ran back, and waved Andre over. Next thing you know, the boys are shaking hands and taking a photo with a Hall of Famer — grinning from ear to ear.
It was the perfect ending to a perfect Buffalo day — great food, great people, and that unmistakable Western New York warmth.

We drive all the way there from Niagara Falls because they have the best BBQ in the area and it’s always satisfying. We look forward to our burnt ends every Thursday Can’t way for Texas twinkies to come back

Oh my oh my. The food here is so awesome and dare I say almost better than sex. The brisket is tender juicy full of flavor. A bark that is crispy and ignites the taste buds with each bite. The smoked turkey was full of flavor throughout and tender and juicy. The ribs are fall off the bone tender. I tried them with the original bbq sauce and the Loganberry sauce. They Loganberry added a layer of sweetness and flavor that was amazing. All of the sauces are excellent. The sweet sauce complimented the turkey very well. I didn’t dare put sauce on the brisket and ruin the flavor. The sides were generous and full of flavor. My boys had a sandwich. The one had the brisket and didn’t add anything too it and my other son had the pulled pork with just a little sauce. The flavor and smokiness shines through in the food. The owner clearly does this for passion and not profit. He clearly loves the art of smoking and cooking

First time we’ve been to Yankee BBQ. I had the loaded tater tots with brisket and beer. Ed had a smoked smashburger and smoked baked beans. We both really like the meal. The atmosphere was casual lots of Buffalo Bills memorabilia. Our server was polite and prompt to take our orders and to deliver them.
The only negative thing I had to offer is that there was no coffee or decaf available or hot tea. I think it’s a responsible thing for a tavern to have a Keurig available for designated drivers and for people like Ed who don’t drink. So he had water cuz neither of us really like soda. But the lack of coffee was the only negative for our experience.

Didn’t tey the food. Met a friend out. Ended up in the karaoke cycle for an hour and a half. DJ Kate was cool. The bartender and everyone there were friendly, professional, and there wasn’t any wait for new orders. Had i known i would be in a barbeque place that smelled that good singing with a cool crowd, I would have planned ahead. Next time… (DJ Kate said karaoke is every Wednesday at 7pm. Jus’ sayin’.)
