Also wanted to additionally mention that the staff was so friendly and nice when my 3-year-old accidentally spilled his hot cocoa. They quickly made him a new one and didn’t charge us and that was really cool.
It’s the perfect place to sit down and read a book, do your homework, or to chat with your friends.
There’s a very nice selection of books and gifts along with a some small “trinkets and doo-dads” if you’re in a pinch for a quick small gift. The prices are a little high but it’s a small local business and is expected. I like to shop local and understand that comes at a price sometimes.
The capaccino was delicious and I paired it with a piece of cinnamon cake so big I took it home. The cake was a little dry but I was there 15 minutes before closing, I was ok with that knowing it was probably the last piece of the day. Popped it in the microwave the next morning, it was yummy.
I also bought a cookies and cream cocoa bomb for my son. Yes, I’m about a year late on that trend but it was so good I’d wished I bought one for myself.
If you’re in need of some amazing coffee I’m confident this is the place for you. Even at the end of the day there was a very steady flow of customers coming just for the coffee.
They serve Collectivo coffee, which is good.
The shop is attached to a Christian bookstore, so there is plenty of stuff to check out. Very cool ambiance.
A note on today’s blended drink, frozen tiramisu cortana (?) was so good! The ice in this drink was nice and smooth, so you get the whole drink and all the flavors mixed well, nothing separating and no unblended ice chunks. I had given up on coffee places making frozen drinks because they usually just aren’t good due to the ice factor. A solid drink from Solid Grounds
The coffee drinks we got were delicious, ended up getting a white chocolate mocha iced, and a Snickers latte. Perfect. Not too sugary. Both the women that were working were very kind. There was no wait at all, and we came on a weekend. Lots of parking in front of the store.
