Best skewers I’ve had around here. I appreciated that they grill with charcoal and that the skewers come raw. The Guo Bao Rou was done very well—crispy and not too sweet. I also tried a couple cold dishes that were solid, as well as the egg fried rice which was satisfactory. They are BYOB and there is a liquor store just across the street.
Another place I’ve been to, Xiao Chuan Dian, also grills with charcoal, but gives the skewers parcooked. I also like XCD, but have to give Yangji the edge on skewers. That said, I thought XCD had better cold dishes and egg fried rice, as well as more attentive service. I did not try the Guo Bao Rou at XCD so can’t compare.

I recently visited Yangji, a fantastic lamb skewer restaurant. The skewers are perfectly seasoned and cooked, full of flavor every time. The staff are super friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, perfect for enjoying great food with friends or family. I’ll definitely be coming back highly recommend Yangji if you’re craving delicious lamb skewers!

Food is delicious except for the fish a bit too salty but the waiter has no idea what’s he serving. Ask him what’s inside the fish dish, he doesn’t know. He says no vegetable, but I didn’t believe him and order it anyway, it has all kinds of vegetable. And you have to fill up your own water.

This is a place that reminded me of Moroccan barbecue , I recommend you make a reservation. We arrived 5 minutes earlier thinking we could just go but we had to wait till the exact booking time .
I loved the cucumber salad , was refreshing with the meat , the fried rice was bland , which we liked , but if you want it as a main dish then probably won’t be satisfying but as a side dish it didn’t overpower the great meat flavors , I’d go back !

First time trying this Chinese bbq and it’s good! I really like the dipping salt, it makes all the skewers taste better. I saw on social media that similar places has the grill with rolling thing so it can flip the meat and cook evenly, but this place doesn’t have that. The stir fry noodle is pretty bland. Definitely reserve because the place is quite small

Fantastic food and service. This is exactly like the food I enjoyed at similar Chinese lamb skewer restaurants in Korea. I went in expecting to have to use Korean because a few reviews said no one speaks English, but instead I encountered non Korean servers and had to use English. They also spoke Spanish. There are menus available in Chinese, Korean, and English. You can get served here regardless of language. I highly recommend if you want something different from typical Korean barbecue. It’s also BYOB.
