First time going to Yang Kee Noodle since the mall location closed and I have missed this! The chicken in the Mongolian Stir Fry was pretty dry unfortunately, but everything was flavorful. Portions filled us up. Tables were clean and ample table availability, but the floors were a little sticky/dirty. Soda options were usual Pepsi options that we were content with (Mountain Dew, Diet Pepsi, etc). They have hot sauce and soy sauce (light soy sauce available at drink fountain) at tables and they bring a Thai chili sauce with Crab Rangoon. It was good and they brought plenty of it so you didn’t need to worry about running out. They bring plastic silverware to your table with your food and you can grab more napkins from the drink station if needed. Service was good, no complaints at all. We will definitely be back to do some make our own stir fry options! Thanks for serving up some hot and fresh food! We enjoyed it!

Building is nice, but the food is sub par. The wide noodles were over cooked and hard. General Tso sauce is more like a paste. The white rice is dried out. The Tom yum soup looks good, but don’t let that fool ya it is full oil and it taste of oil and onion. To over powering. Spring rolls are mushy and the lettuce wrap had to much ginger. For 33.00 plus dollars isn’t worth the price for the food and flavor. The quantity is enough. But that doesn’t replace the sub par flavor.

I rarely complain about food, and it kills me to waste it, but I am doing both right now. We live 30 minutes from this restaurant, and got food to go. My son got the orange chicken with sauce on the side, and I got Pad Tai. We got home and unpacked the food to find that the orange sauce was missing. The chicken and vegetables in the dish were literally BURNED (don’t even know how that happened), so the chicken pieces were hard as a rock. The Pad Tai LOOKED good, but that was deceiving because it was so salty it literally burned my mouth. Both were inedible and had to be thrown away (not going to make an hour round trip to take them back). We got pot stickers and my husband got a beef dinner and both were “ok”, but the other two were a massive disappointment, and waste of money. Definitely have no desire to revisit this restaurant. If you go, make sure and eat in so you can take your food back to the counter for a refund.

So I’m writing this because I honestly love yankee noodle and really hope they get it together. I’ve been to the Middletown location multiple times but haven’t in awhile. I always get the same thing, tofu lettuce wraps. My lettuce came out with pink all on it the pic doesn’t really do justice and the filling just did not taste anywhere near what it usually does. The lettuce actually tasted kind of strange and some of it was flimsy so hopefully it was safe to eat. They also didn’t come out with the rice noodles I love. The restaurant seemed a little dirty like they hadn’t wiped down the tables in awhile. I hope you guys can improve. Usually love this place.

Had the Lunch “special”…any signature dish and a side for $9.99. I had the Firecracker Chicken…spicy, but not overly so, I had never had walnuts in Asian food/dishes before…it was good. I had the Hot & Sour soup as my side. The soup was a full portion, and very delicious . My husband had the Pad Thai, with Spring Rolls(2) for a side. He said next time he would order the full meal, to get a larger portion…but he totally enjoyed it. We most definitely will be going back again.

The food at this restaurant is usually very good, but recently the quality of the crab rangoon has went down. I ordered chicken pho yesterday and when I was having leftovers today I pulled out two star anise. Luckily I knew what they were and didn’t try to chew them up haha!
