Fantastic! We were staying right across the street and were looking for a ramen place to check out and decided to stay close by. The ramen was delicious, super flavorful, with a great depth of flavor. We also had the crab sushi which was also incredible, the addition of caviar on top added a nice sweetness to the sushi and the crunch of the soft shell crab added a great texture. Highly recommend trying Yamitsuki while visiting Philly!

I’ve visited a few times and the ramen is always excellent. The overall atmosphere is hit or miss. Sometimes the staff is very welcoming and other times, it can feel like you’re bothering them. Prices are okay so this place is reserved for special nights out.

Yamitsuki never fails. The ramen is absolutely fantastic, the edamame is so tasty, the fries are the best, and the wings are always incredibly flavorful. We’ve been here many, many times and the quality is consistently great. Shoutout to the best servers—Evelyn, Sarah, and Devin—who always make the experience even better. One of our favorite spots, every single time.

The food was great. I went on valentines day and had a great time. I ordered some fried chicken and the tonkatsu ramen. I feel that the fried chicken was a bit expensive compared to the portion size but it was delicious. The ramen was delicious. The chicken in it was nice and tender. The broth was also very good. As for the interior, it was nice and cozy. However, some of the tables are kinda small so you have to be careful how you order your food. It’s also a great place for otakus. My biggest complaint is the drinks, specifically the soda. You are buying a can of soda, not a glass or cup of soda. Which means no free refills. $3 is very steep for a small can. Overall, it’s a great restaurant.

Been here twice, the food and smoothies are really good . However the service is not the best towards the end. I had the same server twice and both time she has guilt tripped me and friends into tipping. First time she said “ no tip? Are you gonna tip? Did i do something wrong?I dont get a salary so if you cant pay cash you can pay card” didnt even give me the chance to tip but i ended up giving her $5. Second time which was today, she said “ i circled the tip, are you gonna tip? I don’t get salary, i know you from last time you dont tip, next time get your food to go” . Mind you i was putting my nephew in his stroller and hadnt pulled out my wallet yet. highly disrespectful and disgusting especially since she brought me out the wrong food this time and STILL expected a tip. Not the first person shes done this to and wont be the last. I will be contacting the manager.

What a cool spot! The decor is an awesome blend of old school ramen bar with modern anime vibes! And the home made Ironman suit is a wild touch!

The food was top notch and fast! Delicious ramen bowls and hot sake! So good! Definitely recommend!

This is my favorite ramen spot in Philly. They have the best vegetarian options and the broth is absolutely the best in town. Perfectly spicy and super flavorful. The service is always great and I feel so at home in this place. So yummy!

I LOVED this place down and brought so many people here but unfortunately there’s been a change. I ordered takeout many many times but this once I received undercooked chicken. I didn’t make a big deal as it was a one time thing. YESTERDAY I went to the resturant and again received undercooked chicken. I was told it was not undercooked and its cooked for 45 minutes but as you can see it’s undercooked. I don’t think I will be going back because it’s been twice in a row.

The food is amazing, I’ve been coming here for years. I left philly for about a year and just came back, the menu is a little different but that’s to be expected. Only thing that bothered me though is them trying to get away with not giving you your change. I went in last month for the first time since coming back to philly, with my sister and my niece. The server was nice but she seemed a bit preoccupied even though it wasn’t busy at all, but I digress. We asked for extra cherries in my nieces drink, it came without, no big deal at all, but it felt like i was jumping through hoops trying to get her attention without shouting or being too boisterous. It took her quite a while to come back to our table and whenever she did walk by it felt like she was going out of her way to not look at us. When it came time to pay (Cash only on weekends) I gave my money and I’m patiently waiting for my change, she’s just looking at me from the register. Then after a certain point that she realized I was not making a move to get up, she said something along the lines of “is this all, everything good” I said yea, and she said something else i didn’t quite hear but she kept my damn change. I was going to tip her but not 15 damn dollars when we had to fight to get her attention. Then I just went in again for takeout and although my change was slightly less than a dollar, the woman made no effort to give me my change back. What if I wanted my quarters for the meter outside?? Lol, they think they’re slick, I let the 15$ slide because I was in a rush, but at this point I don’t care if it’s a nickel, give it the hell back lol

Lived in Philly for bout 6 years, tried a lot of spots, we keep coming back to yamazuki. One of the most reliably solid / fantastic ramen spots in the city. Music is always excellent. Good service. Clean cozy place. Conveniently located for before or after walking around center city.

Delicious vegetarian (and vegan) options, but they also just do everything well.

Can’t go wrong.
