Yami Sushi is a decent place but it’s not great.
If you’ll order , go for the Aburi roles which were great (we ordered Geisa rolls).
However Fusion rolls were average. In the Sunshine roll salmon tasted very bland. Rainbow roll with eel were better. But the rice in both was a bit dry.
The atmosphere was great and the place is packed so make sure to order in advance.

Within few weeks, I already paid 3 visit to this place, love the food, love the service and the vibe. Staff are kindly helping to arrange appointments as they always full!! if you hav doubt on menu, they always there to help and see what would you like, the menu hav so many great option, can’t wait to try it all
1st visit- oyster, sushi delux set and ice cream, personally I love the black sesame better.
2nd visit- charashi don and more sushi
3rd visit-oyster, ruby roll and volcano roll
4th visit- I ordered the same food as last time coz it’s so good! And my friend she love it as well
5th visit – 2nd time within a week, I ordered the charashi don! I never see the display this pretty, this is what making this place so special!

Randomly walked in 30 mins before closing time and they welcomed us in! Did not know what to expect but everything was great. The shrimp tempura was super crispy and flavourful! The sushi rolls were large and tasted amazing! Highly recommend

We came without reservation and the waitress was kind enough to find us a table even though rhe place was packed.
The waitress was super knowledgeable and help us to select the exact dishes to suit our requirements (no shrimps or crabs for the ladies).
The fire cracker for starters was excellent. The caviar on top was a hit.
Then it took about 40 minutes to get the main courses (!) Which left us about 15 minutes until we needed to free our table. The waitress was kind and apologized and said she will ask rhe guests to wait until we finish.
The rolls themselves did not disappoint.
The ingredients felt super fresh and favorable. The wasabi was not hot enough though.
Please note the place is not cheap but you get an excellent sushi for the price.

There were two of us and we ordered 4 different rolls, a bottle of Japanese beer, and a cocktail. The sushi was served very beautifully and was very delicious. For dessert, we ordered a crème brûlée and an espresso, and the dessert was also at a high level.
The place is not big, but we were lucky we took the last seats at the bar. The restaurant is decorated very beautifully and strictly, everything is very precise and stylish with wonderful service.

I enjoyed my meal very much (i had some rolls and some tuna sashimi). Lovely stylish place, lovely New Zealand wine. Service was tentative and pleasant. Priced fine- i paid around £13 for 8 really big rolls, and forget what the sushi cost but it wasn’t crazy or anything. Would definitely go back. I was there solo in January during the quiet period and i got seated with no booking, but id definitely book if you aren’t solo or if you’re there in a slightly busier period
