The miso soup was awful. Dont recommend it. The lobster rangoons were good, the tempura shrimp were good and the hibachi steak was great. Sushi is average

Service was friendly and fun..my food was hot ..my steak cooked right and tender…I did miss the hibachi experience..the restaurant was quiet and clean but disturbed about the small dog who wasn’t wearing any type of service vest and it was clear wasn’t a seeing eye dog ..another customer carried it in to sit down and eat..

Food was horrible. Didn’t even get what I ordered. Substituted veggies instead of what was supposed in the dinner portion of the veggie hibachi. The spider roll was just nasty. Dirty table. It used to a great restaurant. Sad that it has went downhill so much.

Our server was Hannah. She did a great job! When you go to Yamato’s, make sure you ask for Hannah P. The food was yummy. I’d definitely go back and eat there!

After years of eating here and enjoying it, today’s visit left a lot to be desired. Ordered two rolls, Philly and spicy tuna, and they were tiny. Approximately the same diameter as a nickel. I hate I didn’t get a picture of them. The waitress was amazingly sweet, informed me they have a new person on sushi and had them remade. The remake wasn’t much better. Still smaller than a quarter in diameter and no fish to be found in some of the pieces. I felt like this was a complete waste of my $40 for 2 people to eat lunch. In the attached photo, you can see the avocado and if you look really hard, you may find the fish.

The only complaint I have is that it was warm in the building. Food was great. Service was great.

Nasty business all around. I’ve gotten sick from eating here. Not fresh , raw chicken in the hibachi, not clean on the inside or outside of the restaurant.

This place is incredible to the point I was hesitant to leave a review so it could stay a best kept secret. The food is incredible, the service is fast and friendly, and the restaurant is quiet and tidy. The sushi is always fresh and I’ve yet to find a roll I don’t enjoy. The King Kong roll is my favorite! I highly recommend disregarding the poor reviews until you give this place a chance for yourself. This has quickly become my favorite restaurant and it has never let me down.

When this place first opened up they were great, not you get a small potion and the steak was so tough that I couldn’t eat it. The place is empty because everyone who eats there has the same opinion as I do. So instead of fixing the problem they just up the price to make up for the lack of customers. I won’t go back and apparently most of their previous customers feel the same. To top all that off. They now have a 2% charge if you use a card to pay for the way overpriced food. It is so disappointing because I love Japanese food and they are the only one in town. Someone who knows how to keep customers please open a Japanese restaurant in Lucedale. I am sure the super nice and very prompt waitress we had would love to come work for you.
