My party was extremely dissatisfied with our experience at Yamato‘s Saturday evening. We had made a reservation several days ago for 6 PM and when we arrived on time they told us it would be 10 to 15 minutes for a table. We proceeded to wait 30 minutes and when we went to check in again, our table was still not ready. This was my friend‘s birthday dinner and her favorite hibachi grill which is why we decided to dine there. I understand that restaurants are busy on Saturday night as someone who works in the industry but reservations shouldn’t be accepted if there’s no space for them. The must frustrating part was that there were two other parties with 6 PM reservations that arrived after us and were seated more promptly. After waiting about 35 minutes total, we ended up just accepting a table in the dining room only to receive poor service.

Our waitress was extremely dismissive and seemed bothered to be serving us. One of our friends found whatever this was in her drink (see pictured) so that started the meal off strong. Our other friend ordered a cucumber avocado roll and informed her that she had a shellfish allergy so the chef could avoid cross contamination when prepping her roll – she just started laughing and said “the cucumber avocado roll doesn’t have shrimp”. At the end of dinner, they didn’t even do anything for our friend’s birthday despite having mentioned it on the reservation, and just dropped the check instead of seeing if we wanted dessert.

Overall, the food was okay but there are PLENTY of other hibachi grills you can go to in the area where they will deliver the same quality food and even better service than Yamato’s will

I was here in July, ordered two dinners for me and my boyfriend for takeout and we found metal in our food. The manager said he applied credit to our account for free meals and never said there was an expiration date to come in and redeem it. I was told to just come in and give my phone number. I walked in today to redeem as some time past and we wanted to give them a try. We were rejected, even with evidence of what was said on the phone and the guy at the front just said well… it’s been 6 months. Of course it would take time if I almost swallowed METAL while eating from here. Don’t come here or be aware of what is on your plate and your bites. Highly disappointed. Won’t be coming back again off the fact they don’t honor what they say.

We had a birthday party with around 20 people for my mother and her twin brother. The staff was fantastic with accommodating us, especially for those of us that have food allergies they made sure that our foods didn’t touch anything that would cause us harm. I have never been to a restaurant with staff this rude in my life. They were extremely impolite and pressured us to order immediately. The restaurant closes at 10, and we arrived at 9. They told us the kitchen would close at 9:20 and, with an aggressive facial expression, basically forced me to place my order right away.

I don’t understand how a restaurant can employ such rude people. I got so stressed that my husband quickly picked something, and we didn’t even want to sit there anymore. We just took the order as carry-out and went home. I couldn’t even order anything for myself.

The waitress said to me, “Let’s see if you’ll have time to order,” in a really aggressive tone, and it really upset me. Eating at a restaurant with such disrespectful staff was disappointing. I even told my husband to cancel the order and leave, but to avoid more tension, we just picked up the food and left.

This was a classic hibachi experience. There was a LOT of food – I took home so much, a full meal for the next day. The steak I got was a bit chewy – maybe avoid the NY strip and try the filet. My margarita was stiff and enjoyable. It got a little loud at times, with the clacking of the cooking utensils, but that’s hibachi.

We sent a basketball team off kids to dinner and they gave the kids a $300 bill with an outrageous percentage for a tip with out explaining it to the kids. The kids were scared and had no idea what to do.
This is a terrible place to go
They are more concerned about the profit than the customer service.
