They need to bring back indoor dining. The food is good if you’re not wanting to drive to Gastonia. The owners are snappy but will converse with you. As a place that I would have picked for bringing my business guest to for quick food on the go, it would have been a good choice. But after ordering a large meal from them, I asked if the owner would give another shrimp sauce to the order on the house, and she was in ill temperament about that and refused. The cost was $1.75. So, as a tip, I tipped the amount of the sauce, as it was not about the sauce but taking care of your customers. That was rude on their end to treat a well paying customer that way. Especially one who was bringing in an entire facility of workers to take a business lunch at their restaurant. Indoor dining would be a great start at fixing their customer experience.

I ordered $63 worth of food for dinner… 2 teriyaki shrimp & broccoli plates with 2 orders of teriyaki shrimp on the side, hibachi chicken with a side of hibachi chicken, 2 sweet teas and one sweet tea no ice. We parked & sat for what felt like 30 minutes for our food. When we received it,we only had one tea. Lady said she not charge but one tea. Did not offer to get for us I would have paid if I was aware we weren’t charged for them, but when they give a credit card receipt it only shows the total amount paid it does not list the items you were charged for. They were busy , but we wanted our drinks and weren’t told they could ting it up if we wanted the drinks just that only pay for one drink. Maybe they should consider another person to put taking the orders. I won’t go back just not pleased at all.

Will not be back. The last two time I have ordered there the food had no teriyaki seasoning the second time it had no hibachi season. Paid over $35 both times and the food was plain as plain can be. Ess portians of steak and shrimp then it use to be. And completely tasteless with no seasoning. I’m will not be back paying that much for no taste food. It use to be good. Don’t know what happened with it.

Great food, large portions! The sauce is awesome! There was a line for the drive-thru; they got everyone through quickly. I waited maybe 10 minutes, and I was the 6th person in line. (Line goes onto the side street) There’s a large line for a reason…all the locals know it’s good food and you get a lot for the price.

Use to love this yamatos but their prices have went up a lot and the new owners have been rude during the drive through window, like rolling eyes when giving change back. Definitely not a go to anymore. The lady who gave the food to us after we ordered was very kind tho.

I am tired of this always happening! They put hardly any teriyaki on their chicken and when I ask for extra they hardly ever do. And then they won’t fix it!! This is the last time I ever go here. It costs way too much money for me to not get the extra sauce I ask for every time.

I feel like the service is horrible I dnt know if they changed their cooking method or what because lately the steak is pink several times it been like this called before making another Order asked the Japanese lady can I get my steak very very well done I get there didn’t take long for the food im not suprised that when I got home my food is still pink!!!
