The food was very good, actually excellent for the price, but only 4 stars since I don’t want people to think it’s a fancy restaurant. It’s more of a great place to drop into for semi-fast food in downtown Walla Walla. It has a somewhat limited menu, but still easy to find something good to eat. Pleasant atmosphere, 2 separate rooms, kid friendly, on-street parking nearby, handicapped access. Nice friendly waitpeople, Anna was great. Managers also friendly. I’ve been there many times as it’s a go-to place for a quick meal when I’m downtown. Enjoy!

My family decided to try this location for an experiment together and see what they had to offer. Upon arriving it was filled with other patrons, families and college students, which was a good start. We waited a few minutes, not long, for a table and chose to sit outdoors on the patio area. Seating was a little close quarters, but it made it intimate and cozy.
Our server was polite and did a good job with answering questions offering what was available. There were a few items that were forgotten, but it wasn’t anything major to complain or become upset over.
When the appetizers – dolmades, paidakia, and spanakopita – arrived to our table, the playing looked good and we dove right in. Then midway through the appetizers we ordered our entrees – lamb + beef gyro, chicken souvlaki, falafel. Everything was flavorful.
Pros:
• Good ambience especially outdoors in beautiful weather
• Great time to go is early evening when the air is cool
• Family-friendly and people are light hearted spending time with family and loved ones; was able to see a few pups along the way ☺️
Cons:
• The lamb did not sit well in flavor. Not sure how this meat was prepared, however marinated in seasonings overnight and using a clay style pot/oven slow cooked may be a suggestion. This is due to experience with international travel in North Africa.
• Experience could be enjoyed better “tapa style” eating versus full plates (this was our family’s consensus from our experience)
• Servings for fries were very small in portion when ordered another side order; it was almost on par with fries that came with other orders (if requested)
Overall the experience was good due to the ambience. The food was neutral, yet being with family made all the difference.

We decided to have lunch here on May 14. There was no waiting time. There were 2 servers when we walked in, but when we were ready to order, there was only 1 server. It took a while for the server to come take our orders. I ordered the pork souvlaki (plate) which came with pita bread, greek salad, and fries. Everything was really good, especially the fries. The only one complain would be the plate was too small. Because of that, the pita bread was right next to the salad and it was soggy from the dressing. We would come back, if we visit Walla Walla again.

Awesome Greek food. The grilled octopus special was unique & delicious. So was the lamb & beef rice bowl and chicken gyro. The pita & hummus was a great appetizer. The server was very nice.

Excellent gyro dishes. One of the most consistently high-quality, inexpensive restaurants in town to take out-of-town guests to, or get takeout from.
My only complaint is that our takeout orders have somewhat regularly had things (like tzatziki or hummus) missing from the order. If you do get takeout, just do a quick check of the contents before you leave the location.
Great food, great area/location, and great vibes! Love this place.

My family and I are regular customer for Yamas in Walla Walla, We have always had good service and good food. Except when the manager was our server on 1/29/26, it took him forever to seat us while others were seated faster! It was not busy. The ribs I asked were so cold, the service was just not the same to the point that I have to leave this review here. I love Yamas and their food and the service from other servers, except this manager who ruined our time and meal that evening. I know he is very good in managing the amazing resturant, but for sure not good as a server.

One time my friend got punched in the face working here. Reading that you probably think the food is good. I’ve been here the food is good. And the service is good too but you may have to get their attention they are always running skeleton crews

We had the pleasure of dining at Yamas for the first time this past weekend, and we were blown away on every front! Everybody at the table ordered something different, and everyone loved their meal- even my 7 year old! She had the avgolemono (the soup of the day) and ate every spoonful. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable of the daily specials and wines available, and the hostesses were on point with water service which was very appreciated. We are all still ranting and raving over the quality and flavor of their food, especially the hummus and tzatziki! So much so that we squabbled over who ate what leftovers. Safe to say we will be back soon to try more selections from the menu, and eat our weight in pita.

Excellent food, service and atmosphere! We really enjoyed sharing the appetizers and salads traditional family style. And each of us had delicious main courses! Lots of vegetarian options.
They have an excellent selection of wines. During the daytime it’s great to be able to sit outside on their beautiful terrace.
The owner works here everyday and you can feel the pride and quality coming through in the food and service.
Highly recommended

I hired Yammas to Cater my wedding and it was absolutely amazing. The service and coordination for helping plan the day was great and the food was fantastic. My Greek family was greatly impressed and I couldn’t have been happier. It felt like having a bit of home at my wedding and the pricing was totally reasonable. I’d highly recommend!!
