This by far has been the best experience amongst all the Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen I’ve ever visited. Chris (the counter attendant) definitely shows much pride in his work ethic. That’s why I come back. You CAN’T teach that.

The food tasted good overall. We ordered the chicken sandwiches, but the chicken inside was noticeably smaller than what was shown on the menu board. On the positive side, the mashed potatoes were creamy, and the macaroni and cheese was rich, cheesy, and delicious. The restaurant was clean, and some of the staff were friendly. However, our order was incorrect—we asked for spicy chicken but received regular instead. Overall, I’d say it’s a bit overpriced for what you get. Also Cajun fries were nice and crispy.

07/11/2025 we decided to visit the weslaco Popeyes location 2 orders. total was @ $35. the food looked like it was taken out of a trash can. like it were for a pig. I asked for a refund but was told to contact Popeyes headquarters, they dont answer the phone, they use tect messaging. where they told me I could get a $5 credit for the same item from the same restaurant. the wings had black spots and smelled funky.

Worst place to go. Walked in as 5 cars were waiting for their food. Not waiting in drive thru, waiting in front of restaurant. Walked in and waited almost 5mins while the staff just stood there in the back. Both managers just stood there staring and arguing with the other staff. One worker came to the counter and asked me with surprise if I was there to place an order. Then told me there would be a 20min wait for chicken. Both trays were half full and he said that was already sold. But yet again just left it there with all the cars waiting. Left to the San juan location instead and was served immediately

Recently visited ordered a lunch special. And a Combo meal. The chicken was good quality chicken. Although pricey. Atmosphere was mainly construction, city workers, cable techs, etc. Polite friendly in general. The red beans and rice were bland in my opinion. The staff were friendly in general. Half of the tables were dirty but not completely dirty but as if neglected. Quiet atmosphere. Portion size compared to the prices were small. Food was tasty though worth what we paid for it. Unsure . Just the truth the way I saw it personally.

Food was surprisingly great. Giving them a try because I had not been since I got a tiny chicken sandwich for what I felt was expensive. Service was a bit rough needs to be friendlier, tone was a bit harsh in my opinion.

Just tried to order chicken family meal. I was told that it would be a 15-minute wait which I was okay with. I asked for a complimentary drink for the wait and a kitchen employee shouted out “Do you want the chicken or not that’s why we asked if you would wait. ” Customer service genuinely sucked in my opinion.

Bad attitude and bad service. Their 5 piece chicken tenders for 11.99 (just the tenders) is not worth it, very small pieces, dry and cold. Tried to call them several times to let them know about it but never answered, will never go again, bad quality food

Ordered a chicken sandwich meal the sandwich was good the fries where cold. Also ordered the shrimp meal the shrimp had been sitting there for a long while, they where hard and cold along with the fries. I also bought some Chocolate beignets those where delicious. The biscuit was though better than the shrimp meal itself.
