Ordered through door dash around noon, didn’t arrive until 1. I was
7 mins away, must have been packed at that time? The price point is great but the quality could improve. Shrimp dumplings were fishy, coconut milk soup was green (!?) unappetizing seeing green chicken I couldn’t muster up to eat it, however the chicken pad Thai was loved by my family. Would give another chance and go in but wouldn’t order the soup or dumplings again. Will update after visiting inside.

My new favorite Asian restaurant in Grand junction. I had fabulous udon. Excellent flavor and noodles perfectly cooked. Enjoyed yellow tail sushi and the biggest Alaska roll I’ve seen. My really liked their sesame chicken.

The sushi was in no way fresh. The edamame was entirely too salty. The garlic was burnt and bitter and the spicy wasn’t spicy. The dough on the potstickers was way too thick. Thing you must really experience though is the waitress. This girl does not underline does not need to be working with the public! I have never had such a rude waitress in my life! She has got to be related to someone to even have this job!!! My friend had the sweet and sour shrimp. The shrimp were huge! She said hers was the best she’d ever had! However, neither one of us will be going back!

I had such a great time at Yama Sushi. The staff greeted me with so much warmth that it instantly set the tone for the meal. Their egg drop soup and hot & sour soup were both flavorful.
The sushi rolls were just as impressive. There was a wide variety to choose from, and every roll I tried was fresh, delicious, and beautifully prepared.
Overall, the food was excellent and the atmosphere was welcoming. I left feeling happy and well taken care of. I’ll definitely be back.

I’ve been going to Yama Sushi about once a month for a while now, and it’s honestly become one of my favorite places to eat. The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. No matter what sushi roll or dish we decide to order, it always comes out exactly how we asked for it. You can tell there’s real care put into the preparation, and that consistency is a big reason I keep coming back.
I also want to acknowledge that if anyone has ever had a bad experience there, I’m truly sorry that happened. Going out to eat should always be enjoyable, and it’s never a good feeling when expectations aren’t met. At the same time, it’s important to remember that this is a family-run restaurant. They don’t have a huge staff they can just call in at a moment’s notice if it gets busy. The team works incredibly hard, and sometimes things can take a little time but from what I’ve seen, they truly do their best every single day.
Plus servers see hundreds of faces daily, and it’s not realistic to expect them to remember every guest after weeks or even months between visits. From my personal experience, the server we’ve had has always taken amazing care of us checking in at the right times, making sure everything is correct, and being kind and professional throughout our visit.
She is especially wonderful with the kids. She always makes sure my niece and nephew are happy and comfortable, and they absolutely love coming here. They can’t stop stuffing their mouths until they’re completely full, that’s how much they enjoy the food!
Every time we go, we feel welcomed and well taken care of. The staff works hard, the food is consistently great, and the overall experience has always been positive for me. Yama Sushi has definitely earned my continued support, and I’m already looking forward to going back again next month

People like to complain about the service at this establishment but in my experience the service was very good. Our servers were very nice and playful which really elevated the experience. The food was very good and the prices are more than fair especially for how much food they give you. This place deserves 5 stars and I couldn’t recommend it more.

I come here all the time and I love the hostess. I just want to say she is very kind and helpful. She is always working so hard but always takes the time to interact with me. Telling me jokes while I wait. She is trying so hard and you can see her running around doing so many tasks trying to keep up with everything. I enjoy the food and the atmosphere is friendly and beautiful. Never a bad experience but do appreciate how welcome she makes me feel!
