I will order from this restaurant again. Everything was delicious and made fresh! I ordered Crazy Volcano Roll w/ cream cheese, 1 Special Combo (Crazy Yama and Spider III), Kani Salad, and Fried Gyozo. They even added a free dessert!! I recommend the Spider III Roll. It’s unique and favorable with a slightly sweet taste.

Everything we had here were so delicious. Without exaggerating, this is probably one of the best places I had Sushi in the US. The baby octopus were delicious and tender, and a must try. The staff were very polite and kind. The decor is quite exquisite as well. We are glad that we stopped here on our trip to Virginia Beach!

I did not like my food. I ordered the Spider-Man 3 and the Friday. The tempura tasted old, barely any white fish, I never found the salmon, tuna or the lobster salad in my rolls. There was so much sauce all over my rolls, I couldn’t even taste the food. Eventually I just picked through everything and was ready to leave. My mother and sister asked for a side of Spicy Mayo and Teriyaki Sauce with their food…… got charged 65cent each on the receipt. Won’t return. Customer service was the good thing

I’ve been coming for years, and the staff are sweet and courteous. The food is always delicious. The restaurant is always clean. They say thank you by either free rolls or some type of candy. Loyal customer n hope you become one too.

Back in East Virginia again, so I’m having sushi and missing my daughter who lives so far away from here now. Yama is right down the street from my hotel, and already holds a 4.8 rating, so easy choice. I don’t leave bad reviews, because I believe it’s not worth my time. Only 5 star places get that. Yama on a Tuesday evening is just perfect. There’s only 1 other couple here. The menu is plentiful, and if you don’t see what you want, just ask for it. I ordered the #6 combo. Crazy Yama and Iron Man rolls with Miso and salad. Chef also brought out a 2 piece house roll complimentary. I’ve been to plenty of sushi places, and only a couple reviews. The service is superb. The atmosphere is busy with many waving cats. Must be lucky here. I’ll be back to Yama again. This place is….

From out of town and I needed to find a good spot to eat near me . I found Yama Sushi and gave this spot a try And so should you ! . The restaurant was nicely decorated, I was welcomed with a smile, and staff was attentive. I ordered the BBQ squid like I do back at home and it was very delicious! The soup tasted fresh and so did my entree ! during my stay I noticed the staff was very friendly front and back of house . I used the bathrooms and I know it sounds like I’m being overdramatic but they were so clean I was thankful. i tried a couple other spots around the area and 1 out of 5 on sanitary. So thank you ! I highly recommend this sushi spot and only hope it stays successful.
