I had been wanting to try them for quite sometime, so glad I did the food was freshly made, delicious and a huge serving. That spinach was the best. Its spicy but so good. Our waitress was also the cook but she cooked that food to perfection! Even though they didnt have the drinks I wanted to order. I will return soon!

I asked if the Buffalo jollof rice was spicy and was told that it was not, but when I received it it was definitely spicy. It did taste good however it was just very spicy. The chicken is really good and flavorful though. Also, the egusi was extremely spicy too.

I’ve been a few times. My boyfriend and I loved the food. We got the chicken pepper soup with fufu, the egusi with beef and pepper soup with the chicken again our second time. My boyfriend has been back a few times without me. Unfortunately his last time being there Thursday 11/6 he got food poisoning. So we won’t be returning customers anymore. Also the service is ok. First time we came it was a male serving. Second time we came with our kids (group of 5) the lady serving seemed to be annoyed with our bigger group.

Very small restaurant but amazing food. We got the hot pepper soup with fufu, jollof rice with fish and waakye with fish. We also got a side of plantains. The atmosphere is cute and the music is thematic to the restaurant. Everything we got was flavorful and delicious. The service is a little slow but worth it because of how good the food is. The food was flavorful and spicey but not too spicey. It was just fantastic.

Food was great! Waited a bit for our food but I think that’s because the food was fresh! Made to order. Service was ok they were nice but they kept disappearing into the back. We were like chasing them down to ask for more napkins and any extra we needed once we got our food. The aesthetic of the restaurant was really cute, but it was kinda cold. Also had to wait to order a drink from the bar because again, they kept going into the kitchen but DRINK WAS 10/10 once we got it though. Good music while we waited!

If you’re looking for good West African food (Ghana and Nigeria, for example), this is a great place. For many of the dishes, you’re choosing your starches (fried rice, beans & rice, fried plantains or yams, fufu) and then a protein (fish, chicken, beef, or beans). Everything we had was great, and the servings were huge! I had heard that it might take a while to get our food, but ours came out to the table in a very reasonable amount of time.

Everything was well seasoned and well cooked. The fried plantains that I had were perfect; just a bit crisp on the outside, but creamy inside. Nothing that anyone in our party had was super spicy (granted, we’re all Buffalonians), but some of the sauces were a bit warm, and all were flavorful.

They do have alcoholic drinks, but we just had soft drinks. These were in a refrigerated display, and you can just take what you want, and they’ll charge you when you pay. I was really happy to find two kinds of ginger beer and Goya Malto!

Given what I had heard, the staff will help you with learning how to eat the soup and fufu without cutlery, but we didn’t run into that situation when we went (I couldn’t resist getting the suya kabab). But if you want the authentic experience, I think you can get it here.

I wouldn’t really consider this a true buffet. buffets I been to allow unlimited servings, but here you’re charged for a second round , even if it’s just a small amount. I could literally go back for one piece of chicken and be charged $10 because it counts as a “second serving.”

For the quality of the food, it felt overpriced. I paid $93, it wasn’t worth it. I’d rate the food about a 6/10.

On a positive note, the music was good and the waiter was friendly and handsome
The atmosphere was decent, but the food just didn’t live up to the price.

Never had African food before this, we got jollof rice, egusi with beef and fufu, and goat pepper stew. It all tasted fantastic!! We fell in love with the jollof rice, we are both mildly spice tolerant people but by no means champions, my boyfriend can devour a whole plate without sweat but I need at least a little water. We get it with the beef, which turns out a little dry but I assume this is because they make them in large batches, as we had 0 wait for our food and it was ready 5 minutes after ordering, sauce on top and all. Flavor is impeccable, it’s a regular on our takeout rotation now!

OMG
We were welcomed with open arms and made to feel one of the family!
Super chill atmosphere coupled with the world’s most comfortable chairs.
We sat at a table rather than the community table and enjoyed a BE CAREFUL shot of their Spicy African Root Dry Gin.
Food was ridiculously perfect- the abundance of tastes were fantastic!
You gotta go!

First and foremost, I generally don’t write reviews on places I eat even if they’re bad because sometimes people make mistakes. We’re human. However, my experience with this restaurant on Friday, January 9th between 4:30pm to 5:55pm requires one.

Below is what happened:

I’m in this area to celebrate my mother’s birthday and took her to Niagara Falls. After touring it, she was craving African food so we decided to preorder it and then drove over to Buffalo to pick it up. She ordered pepper soup and jollof rice. I ordered fufu and egusi soup.

Pickup was a breeze despite the 40 minute drive. We arrived, I waited for ~2 mins and was handed our food. No cutlery was provided, but that was a minor issue compared to what came next. When I had one bite of the soup, I could immediately taste that it was soured. Even as I write this, my stomach is fighting to keep down the two bites I had (took a second bite to be sure).

I called the restaurant immediately to notify them and to ask for a refund for the soup and the fufu. The woman I spoke to said, “That’s how we make the soup,” “This is how it’s done in Ghana,” and “I don’t have time for this.”

The last one is an insane thing to say to someone that informed you they just had spoilt food from your restaurant. I didn’t even continue the conversation after hearing that nonsense. I hung up, I’m writing this review, and I’ll consider escalating depending on whether my symptoms get worse. For now, I’ll go baptize my stomach with ginger ale and hope that I don’t vomit tonight.

Anyways, that’s my experience. Avoid the soups. The jollof rice was fine. I don’t know the name of the woman who picked up, but if you never have to deal with her it’s a sign that God is fighting for you in 2026.

Good luck and God bless.
