I LOVE this nice little local cafe and the food that “mama” cranks out is amazing! Driving from Moab to Phoenix, we decided to get our of Moab and get down the road a ways before stopping for breakfast – ended up being a great decision! As we approached Blanding, we looked at Yelp for breakfast dinners in Blanding. Came across Yaks and pulled in. Walked in and immediately fill in love – very much of a family feel. Got seated right away and got some delicious coffee right away. We ordered then the Maricopa happened – everything we ordered came out fast, came out hot and came out delicious. Breakfast quesadilla was so big my wife took half to go – and it was delicious. Biscuits and gravy was some if the best we’ve everything tasted. My BIL had the Yak special and said it was so good, he’d order it again. Best breakfast though was my Skie Burrito! I’ve never seen this on any other menu before and it was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten for breakfast. So good, I asked to go back in the kitchen and personally extend my thanks and appreciation to “mama”.
If you’re ever near Moab, take the hour long trip down to Blanding to experience this place.

I have lived in the area for just over 10 years and heard many good things. Today was my first visit. I wanted to make it my Valentine Day breakfast for my wife. Good choice on my part. We both had the Biscuits and Gravy Platter and a Short Stack of pancakes. We really don’t eat alot for breakfast. Ordering the Short Stack was really to profile the pancakes flavor. I thought they might be smaller in size, I was wrong. That were large, fluffy thick and scrumptious. The meal was great. Our made to order eggs came out perfect and their homemade biscuits were like the pancakes, soft, fluffy, and had a nice flavor. The hasbrowns were cooked just right with that nice crunch. I know my thoughts were right when my wife (a picky eater) finished her plate. I mean scraped clean like mine. We did not finish the pancakes because really it was there more for review and we finished our main meal. That said, we did eat about half because it tasted so good. Here is my P.Q.Q. rating. Overall great visit.. PRICE per Quantity is fair and with the Quality, the patrons benefit. Good eats all, I’ll be back for more.

Really tasty food at great prices, with big portions and a cozy, laid-back vibe. The Southwestern, slightly kitschy decor nods to local sights and adds some fun character. Service was quick and teamwork-oriented with everyone pitching in. I also appreciated the note on the menu reminding guests to keep an eye on their kids and be respectful. Plenty of easy parking too!

doesn’t look like much from the road but a great stop through. Big serves, dishes created in-house, fry bread was the best. Staff were brilliant, attentive and so friendly.

We showed up 10 minutes before close, and Sky welcomed us in after our long drive! They totally took care of us even though they were setting up for a private party and needed all the time to prepare for that! Personal service and attention to detail. This is a little treasure in Blanding!

Great breakfast and excellent value! We ate here at the end of September 2025. The burrito with green sauce & gravy is so unique and delicious. I could only eat half though, it’s gigantic. Our cups were kept full of hot, fresh coffee and everyone was pleasant to deal with. We even bought some shirts and local artwork they sell in the cafe. Next time we’re in the area, we’ll definitely eat here again! We hope whichever employee kept the Martin Farms hoodie we accidentally left in a booth (and called about) enjoys it & wears it in good health.
(In response to the owner’s reply: I didn’t receive your text, but meant no offense. I was not throwing shade. I genuinely meant what I said in my review. We hoped we’d left the hoodie there because it’s a nice hoodie and hoped it was one of your employees who gets to enjoy it now. You all seemed like kind folks so thought the hoodie decided to live in Utah with you now. Alas, the mystery continues and the hoodie’s adventure rolls on.)

Solid breaky for a tiny town. Perfect way to fill up before a hike. My wet verde breakfast burrito was ridiculously large, ask for a side of salsa. Omelette was stuffed with fresh ingredients and the eggs were soft. The pancakes were mammoth and fluffy, but don’t bother asking for any blueberries or chocolate chips. Waitress was a little gruff in a very small-town-charming way. Would definitely recommend.
