Reviews
If you love waiting forever, paying too much, and eating food with zero flavor, this place is for YOU. Because why was the food bland like it was scared of seasoning??
First of all… the location? Jail. Second of all, the staff had an attitude for no reason—like sorry I asked for TWO menus for our table?? My bad??
The restaurant was dirty, loud, packed, and giving cafeteria during a fire drill. No vibe. No ambiance. Just chaos.
Anyway… save your coins. This is a never again, a don’t recommend, a hard pass.
Extremely disappointed with my recent visit to Ocha. I was served the wrong entrée and when I politely brought it up, the staff insisted that it was what I ordered—despite it clearly not being the case. Being lied to instead of receiving simple accountability was frustrating enough, but it didn’t stop there.
The food quality has noticeably gone downhill—greasy, bland, and nowhere near the freshness it used to have. To make matters worse, prices have become outrageous, with a single dish now costing over $30. For that price, I expect both quality and honesty, and Ocha delivered neither. Won’t be returning.
Gendered restroom with no steps.
BEWARE: Most meals do not come with soup or salad. They are very famous for their soup, but you will need to order it separately, it does not come with most meals.
Best to go with larger groups and everyone get one thing and it should be a good portion and variety for all.
Prices are reasonable but again I stress the fact that if you order and entree, that is all you get. If you go alone or with another person, they have some combination options that may be best fit.
•Waiters and waitresses wear street clothes.
•This place is highly reviewed and highly rated.
I have only been 1 time. I imagine the hype is around the quality food, the family dinning experience, and the relatively low cost of total meal for the Downtown LA area.
•Positive environment inside the restaurant.
Environment outside of the restaurant is not the nicest side of town.
•Parking is terrible. If you come on a weekend, save yourself time and find free street parking and walk to the restaurant or get a Lyft from wherever you are coming from.
