I was dropping off my son at work, and I kept saying I’m going to try this place! New York pizza in Austin. YES’

The service was excellent. As soon as we walked in the door, the cashier was very friendly. I was short on time and asked how long it would take to prepare, and the cook mentioned 10 minutes or less. It was just that.

It came out so fast and delicious, WOW,
the bacon, sausage, and pepperoni are just so full of flavor, very authentic, and I just went to New York not too long ago, and it definitely gave that New York-style vibe, even the inside looked like a New York-style setting with the seasoning setup right at the end table if you know you know ◡̈

I will be back! It’s definitely my new go-to pizza place!

This place is my only go-to pizza shop and I’m obsessed with it. I’m not even a huge pizza person because I’m picky about it especially coming from northeast to Texas. Most places don’t know how to make great pizza with their weird sweet crusts or sweet sauce or skimpy cheese….but this place is ON POINT! I’m so glad they don’t use cornmeal on the bottom of their pizza since I’m allergic to corn (stupid dominos uses it, their pizza is trash anyway). I love the sauce, pizza dough, and cheese combo they use. My only wish is that they would offer a nice buttery garlic crust option. The owner is super nice and once when I brought my 4 nieces and nephews in and ordered two large pizzas he gave us all free drinks! That was awesome and very kind. I highly recommend this place for an excellent pizza and size/portion is great. Also their calzone is HUGE! Like a medium or large pizza folded in half, well worth the money, go get it! YUM!
They have a lunch deal too, two slice and a free drink, ask them about it.

Seriously the best pizza in town, I absolutely appreciate that they sell by the slice as well. The pizza isn’t overly greasy or falling apart like most places and the slices are HUGE! The cheese is delicious and so many different topping options. The sausage and pepperoni is my favorite

Absolutely delicious pizza! Tasty, fresh, herbed just right, and staff were friendly and helpful! Shared a large and still had a few slices left for breakfast. Maybe I should’ve of heated it but so love cold pizza. Five stars if I could recommend it cold.

4⭐️’s overall. I did a take out (more on that) so didn’t rate the atmosphere. Finished pie was quite delicious. Service is 3⭐️ as finding menu details online was not easy. I just finally asked. The website was not helpful. Called to order a delivery, since the website said this was an option, and was told, no longer. I needed to use Uber Eats, Door Dash or something else unless I wanted to pick it up. Not happy about this, but businesses have to make decisions on service and expenses, so I get it. Decided to order, after a call back as I initially was going somewhere else, and since I couldn’t find a good menu on line had to ask a lot of questions about specials and menu options.

My group wanted pineapples with pepperoni, so don’t judge me. Growing up in Chicago we were not allowed to eat pineapple on pizza lol. This place changed my mind because they seemed to use actual fresh pineapples rather than canned. Whether or not you like pineapple, you gotta respect fresh ingredients. Thin crust held up great, even upon reheating. Cheese and sauce were excellent. Don’t know the wait time, but it seemed super reasonable for weekend dinner time.

Went for the first time and had the lunch special: any two slices and a drink for $6.99. The house made sausage was great. The margherita was good too, but I prefer a red pie and they only had white. Perfectly cooked and crust that had me thinking of my favorite spots in Brooklyn. Can’t wait to go back.

I know this place is pricey but come on, the small salad is the tiniest side salad and was $7!! Truly insane. Idk if you can tell by the picture but my hand is very small. Also it says garlic knots are on it but it was just regular croutons. The pizza is always good though.

Easily the best deal for the slice and soda lunch, and NY style pizza at that! But I’m leaving this review for a MAJOR shout out to the staff this past Thursday, who quickly sprang into action when I needed help dealing with a medical emergency for someone in the parking lot. I was calling 911 in a panic and asked them to come out and help move the person, no questions asked, they all rushed out to help! Wonderful staff, management, and pizza. Thank you for being a part of the ’49 community. -L

Good food but on the pricey side. Menu prices shown (which most don’t even show a price) don’t reflect the bill; a side of jalapenos for a large pizza was $3 but additional toppings show $1.75 on the billboard. Overall great.
