The view is magical, making the whole experience unforgettable. A highly recommended place !
You step through the doors and feel the panache of the place. As with most exclusive clubs, it’s interesting to get a glimpse behind the doors.
Of course, the setting, service is super. The food too, so how can one not enjoy the ambience.
And the 5th – for a moment, I felt like a millionaire .
The restaurant is easily accessible with a few parking spots available for guests, we were lucky one was empty. Otherwise you’d have to park in believe across the road. Parking is free, and we went with no reservation and there were plenty of available tables.
During our visit, the service was excellent, friendly, and very attentive. Our waiter was particularly thoughtful, bringing tap water for our groggy little boy, which we appreciated.
As for the food, our experience was mixed. The fillet du perche was somewhat lacking the expected flavor and finesse. However, the linguini with large shrimp was exceptional, bursting with fresh, vibrant flavors that truly impressed us.
Overall, La Tour Carrée is a beautiful spot with lovely views, excellent service, and some standout dishes, making it a noteworthy dining option at the Yacht Club de Genève.
In all honesty, I must say that this restaurant undoubtedly offers the finest filets de perches in all of Geneva. The homemade sauce, expertly combined with perfectly cooked perches, was an absolute delight. The fries, which can sometimes disappoint, were impeccable—crispy, salty, and utterly delicious.
One remarkable aspect of this place is that they served fondue for just one person, which is quite rare among most restaurants. As a truffle enthusiast, I couldn’t resist the temptation, and the fondue with truffles was truly irresistible.
Adding to the already delightful experience, the owner, Marc, proved to be extremely welcoming and attentive, ensuring that all the clients enjoyed their time on the terrace despite the rain.
Overall, this restaurant is an outstanding choice, and I eagerly look forward to returning soon for another memorable dining experience.
I was happy they had outdoor outlets because I ran out of phone battery. Still, I came back not because I received coffee from the house (smile) but because of the gesture that lets you admire and realise they are unique places in front of the boats and with good and very friendly employees!
