The menu is inspired by traditional cuisine from the state of Oaxaca, but presented with a more gourmet touch. The flavors are authentic while also refined.
In addition, the atmosphere is very calm and pleasant, perfect for having a conversation and enjoying your meal at a relaxed pace. It is definitely a place worth visiting if you are looking for great food and a different dining experience.
The staff were professional, friendly, and attentive throughout the entire visit. Definitely make a reservation; the buffet is popular, and there’s live music on Sundays that adds a really lovely atmosphere.
The food itself was very good, with excellent flavors and a fun variety of dishes. The guacamole and cold salads were standouts — fresh, bright, and delicious. The biggest disappointment temperature: most items on the buffet were room temperature unless they had just come out steaming hot. If everything had been served hot, the meal would have been truly exceptional. It is such a shame because there is a lot of hard work that goes into the dishes: the fish was standout for me!
That said, the dessert buffet was the undeniable star of the show. The variety, presentation, and flavors were all fantastic — easily one of the most memorable parts of the experience.
A great way to sample the breadth of Xochi’s menu and enjoy a festive, elevated Sunday meal!
Our server was incredibly sweet and patient, taking the time to walk us through the menu and offer thoughtful recommendations as first-time visitors. I ordered the sangria and guacamole tostadas. The tostadas were extra crunchy, but still enjoyable, and the flavors were excellent.
Brunch was especially impressive—the variety alone was exciting, and they offer options to accommodate virtually every dietary preference.
The location, right next to Discovery Green, provides a lovely view, adding to the overall experience. Since it was Valentine’s Day, they also had a beautiful photo backdrop set up, which was a thoughtful touch. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience with exceptional food and truly great service.
I also had the Spiced Pluma, which was refreshing and nicely balanced, with a gentle spice that didn’t overwhelm the drink. Service was prompt and attentive throughout the meal, and the downtown location is convenient. We enjoyed it and plan to eat there again soon. Highly recommend!
For my main I had the Barbacoa de Res de Zaachila which I really enjoyed. The rolled tenderloin was really cool and it was just a well rounded dish.
For dessert if I’m gonna get anything here it’s gonna be chocolate. So we got the Cremoso de Chocolate, some Mexican Hot Chocolate, and Churros on the side. Everything was fire and I would have again.
