Drove two hours and brought my family here because it’s always a pleasant experience! The meat is high quality and the food was so good. Would highly recommend!

Has a variety of Korean BBQ meat options. Good for a city like WL. Fun to go with a group of friends and hang out while cooking together. All you can eat for two hours is about 30 per person. Charge extra for lettuce. Service was a bit slow, so you may watch to order a bunch at a time. Grilling marinated meat last helps to keep the grilling plate clean and requires less replacements.

Don’t be intimidated by the Mandarin-heavy signs out front. Xin has a good variety of foods that should sate just about anyone.
They have the typical “American” style Chinese dishes like Kung Pao, and Beef with Broccoli, but they also have some more interesting Chinese and Korean dishes. I found the Boken Champon to be very good (they tell you that it is spicy, but I didn’t find this to be true). The Salt & Pepper Prawns and Sweet and Sour Pork are also very tasty.
Prices are good for lunch time, typically $8-$10 per dish. Dinner prices are pretty high, around $15-$20 for the same thing.
We ordered carry out and it probably took 15-20 minutes for them to prepare the food, so it definitely isn’t super quick.

This is my first restaurant at West Lafayette. I don’t know the name of a staff but the staff was very kind. I ordered Tang-su-yook(fried pork with sweat sauce), Jajang-myun(noodle with Chinese soybean paste), and Mapa-tofu. Tang-su-yook and Jajang-myun were really great and they taste like what I have tasted in Korea. However, I was disappointed with Mapa-tofu because of strong sour taste. I will visit here often to eat other menu.

I’ve been here many times over the last few years and each time the service gets worse and worse. Today was the last time I will be returning. After waiting without being even acknowledged for over 25 minutes, I went and found a staff member and asked for help. He was extremely rude and told me I would just have to be patient. I told him that I had been patient for almost a half an hour and multiple people had already walked out that were here before me. I tried explaining that I was just waiting for a pickup order that I had placed 2 hours earlier. The order was not ready 30 minutes after my scheduled pick up time. I got my money back and told Marlon (the name on my receipt for who refunded me) that after all this they still had not even acknowledged their mistakes or even said they were sorry. At the point he said “oh sorry”. I shouldn’t have to point that out. I won’t be returning, staff there clearly do not care about their customers.

We got a variety of dim sum and the unlimited hot pot. It’s a very nicely put together restaurant, and the staff are friendly. However, the service is incredibly slow. We waited 45 minutes before anyone came to our table to ask if we wanted drinks. We ordered two items off the dim sum menu, and they were out of those. Asked for two other items. They were also out of those. And finally resorted to just spring rolls and dumplings. The dumplings were mediocre, at best, and the spring rolls were over cooked. We waited an hour and fifteen minutes before any food was brought out. Finally, the hot pot came out, and its presentation was poor. Food was just piled on the plates on top of other items. Both broths in the pot were very bland. Altogether, it wasn’t an experience I’d recommend to anyone, especially for the price. It was advertised as “All you can eat hot pot – $29.95”. Little did we know, that’s per person. And it is definitely not worth that amount. I’ve been to many other hot pot restaurants all over the country, and the price of this hot pot was way to high for what you get. I wouldn’t recommend going here unless you want to be disappointed.

We had a lovely dinner at Xin. The staff was attentive and patient with our large family (multiple kids!) The food was outstanding– our six year old kept saying “this is the best soup I’ve ever had.” He also said that he wanted to “live and work” there. It was a great experience and we’ll be back for certain!

Amazing Korean food, ambiance and good service. I can’t wait to take out of town guests. I also am kicking myself for not coming here sooner and on a regular basis. This is definitely one of my new go-to spots.

I would have rated this place a 5 star but they put an automatic 18% tip added to your bill. I just HATE that! Tipping is VOLUNTARY, for good (or great) service. We normally tip 22-25%, but not when we see an automatic tip added. Food is great, no complaints. Just drop the automatic tips! It reminds me of tithing pledges required in an ex church I used to attend. Don’t force something that is totally voluntary.
