Shioyaki Mackerel – yummy, light and cooked
Char Siu Bao – this was tasty and sweet, but little meat lots of bao bread (try one to share if interested)
Spicy chili wonton – Super yummy, not that spicy for me but the wontons were meaty
Tempura Shrimp – lightly fried and classic – yummy
Stuffed jalepeno- lightly spicy – yummy
Hibachi chicken – the chicken chunks were huge. It was good and filling, but sauce was just plain.
Yellowtail roll – this was good and tasted very fresh
Snow White roll – very filling roll. Good.
The cooked items were stellar as well as the yellowtail roll.
They only have one person cooking in the kitchen. The all you can eat is new and they need more kitchen staff, so please be patient with them (if you are looking for a job or know someone)… please send them their way.
Server was Madison and she was super sweet, informative and made great recommendations. This is the first time we’ve had this in 3 years and really loved it. The owner came by to ask us if everything was ok and if we needed anything.
The price is incredibly reasonable for adults $23.99, kids 5-11 $11.99, the best value compared to other Asian restaurants in Austin! We had soup dumplings (4 per serving), tempura shrimps (2), Char Siu Bao, Ramen noodles, Takoyaki, fried Shumai, sushi, miso soup and so much more! The ice cream is also the best, in a cute individual bowl, not the ice cream machine made one.
All the food is freshly hand made and it takes a bit longer to wait, please prepare for the waiting, but it definitely worth it if you have time.
I don’t mind preassembled or even frozen food at this price point (although it was overpriced in my opinion), but the main ingredients should have some character, such as the chicken. There should be seasonings to tie everything together. At least the noodles should be fresh.
The interior is beautifully done.
The only very minor downside is that ice cream. We preferred the scoops, but they only have them in cups. Flavors are the vanilla, chocolate and strawberry.
Overall we highly recommend this place and will come back.
I was sold instantly on the atmosphere as they had a giant Naruto poster in the front and anime playing on one of the TVs. My weeb heart is so happy.
